It is. Newman might also find himself as depth next year, along with Saad. It's definitely a nice problem to have though.
How quickly some forget what an absolute gun N.N. is. Truly believe that his unavailability this year has made a massive

difference to our season. His composure and assuredness is Pendles like, his 35 metre passes rarely miss their target.

Nick still has some great footy in him, his experience and cool head have left a huge hole in our defense.

It could. Carroll is a lovely ball user but so far hasn't adjusted to pressure or lack of space of AFL. Last Friday would have felt like freedom

It will come but nothing that happened against Demons changed my mind one way or another. I never judge a young player after 1 game or even 20.
His progress is typical of a very good up and coming player. Some really good games and moments and some that are average. To be fair for a second year player who did not play football last year, he is a well above average footballer.

It's the hardest thing to assess. There was little pressure and younger players had more space and time than they were used to and thrived on it

Positive is they stood up when chance arrived. Carroll bounced back from bad game last week and I thought Cowan's game was excellent regardless. Moir played deeper and was given a ridiculous amount of space. Positive was his finishing

I still hate how we are using Lord but he found more of the ball. HOF is just not physically ready but his football poise and skill is there for all to see

A win and more ball will always help but they will need to be a lot better this week if Hawks bring any pressure. For young players it's about how they deal with added pressure and lack of space that can be difference

This week will tell a lot if they got much out of last game or not. We won't truly know until it happens
Do you see a bit of Stephen Silvagni in HOF? Comparing both players to their first season. Gangly, very athletic, quick, good skills, attacking, good leap, good spoil but just not really ready for senior footy but the quality is there. Similar traits at the same stage in career.

Walshy’s running back with the flight mark a few years ago, but kudos to Frank didn’t deviate or flinch…
He knew he was going to be hit hard by a very big unit and still kept going.
It was 110% team first, and resulted in a crucial goal.
Maybe even the moment that keeps him on the list because whilst you never want to see that outcome, it was precisely what this team has lacked.

The view must have been obscured hiding behing the couch.

We don't win the game without any one of Carroll, Lord, Cowan and Moir having the night they did.

First week they've really taken the load off our senior core.
And the good thing was the seniors joined in

Young or old, experienced or inexperienced- everyone pulling in the same direction and contributing makes a diffidence

Great courage as far as it keeping him on the list, doubtful the act would play any factor imo…
