Hyrousalakis should have been a star.Manic said Hyrousalakis would be a star, even Fatui Attatta
He should have, I loved him. Was a star in suburban football but smoked too much weedHyrousalakis should have been a star.

Yes. Karnezis was skillful, but too slow. Athas had serious talent. You sure you're not thinking of Karnezis?

WC aren’t giving up their first pick for Allen. Option A is not viable, as noted by several posters. What’s the more likely outcome?
A. Allan breaks out this year but requests a trade (let’s say to WA), netting us the currency we need to satisfy GCS to allow Rowell to come to us.
B. Allan does not break out, while Rowell signs a short extension taking him to FA eligibility.
People are disagreeing with my post, but all I said was perhaps B is more likely.
Of course, we’d all prefer option C, but that’s not what anyone was talking about.
Putting aside for the moment that we might be trying to trade in more talent via our F1,First Round: None
Second Round: 1 x Own
Third Round: 1 x Own
Fourth Round: 1 x Own, 1 x linked to Western Bulldogs
Where the Magpies’ draft picks will land this year depends largely on their own finishing position. They hold their second, third and fourth-round selections, but their first-round pick is in the hands of Gold Coast. That prized pick was handed over as part of the three-way trade which made defender Dan Houston a Pie in October. Collingwood nabbed a fourth-round pick from the Western Bulldogs during last year’s draft in exchange for pick 62.

Our main objective would be making sure we have enough points for mcguane depending how far he jumps up on draft boards this year. So either by trading in 2026 points into 2025, pick swaps or seeing if there are players that have interest elsewhere to accue picks.Putting aside for the moment that we might be trying to trade in more talent via our F1,
- we may have a player that wants out (or FA compo)
- there may be another club looking to trade out f1 for their 2025 first bc of academy or FS
My suggestion was that we might nab an early R2 and R3 off WCE and pass that to GCS along with our F1 as a starting point for a potential trade. Not completely unrealistic imo, notwithstanding the fact that it’s unlikey for Allan and Rowell to both request trades.WC aren’t giving up their first pick for Allen. Option A is not viable, as noted by several posters.
Who knows what Allan is worth in a trade at the end of the year? Anywhere from nothing to a heap if he starts living up to FJ's and ND's hype.WC aren’t giving up their first pick for Allen. Option A is not viable, as noted by several posters.
I'm thinking 2 firsts for Rowell he is still only 23 and is an elite mid. Worth more than Houston because of his age. Would be both of our 2026 and 2027 1st rounders. My suggestion was that we might nab an early R2 and R3 off WCE and pass that to GCS along with our F1 as a starting point for a potential trade. I wouldn’t be pushing Allan out the door and would obviously prefer him to break out and just keep him. Just discussing hypotheticals.
They may be willing to do 2027 if the club feels eli will be a first rounder, he looks like he could be. If his development continues. But it’s a bit far out so it’s something we can deal with later on.I'm thinking 2 firsts for Rowell he is still only 23 and is an elite mid. Worth more than Houston because of his age. We are well aware of your flawed suggestion - it is similar to what we paid for Houston. WCE might consider their 3rd rounder for Allen. But GC aren’t accepting that, and a late first rounder (Coll), for one of the premier players (24yo) in the comp. Would we?My suggestion was that we might nab an early R2 and R3 off WCE and pass that to GCS along with our F1 as a starting point for a potential trade.
