Premiership experience isn't just about the game itself. It's having played on successful sides and in multiple big games.

Our 32nd list spot can be used to roll the dice on another 19 year old with no experience and a weak body, or it can be a 25 year old, with 8 years of experience and has played in 9 finals.
Giving up a list spot for Spargo most likely means letting go one of Payne or Harvey. I’d rather back these guys in instead. In current form Spargo is not a better performer and the other two have a heap more development potential

Spargo is not free. He takes a list spot and if we give him 3-4 years like Daniel and Fisher, we are stuck with him when list spots get tighter.

Fisher was best 22 for his first year and not the second and won't be the next two years. Doubt Daniel will be year 3 and probably shouldn't be next year.

If getting Spargo costs 3 or 4 years to get him come, we are making the same mistake all over again, except there is no draft capital. I wouldn't give him 2 years and why would he change clubs for 1 year.

It doesn't necessarily mean that. We can have all three. We don't know how list spots will look after trade week.

It'd more likely cost us a later drafted player or rookie draft player.

It sounds like Rawlings has had his eye on Spargo like he did with Konstanty. Freak recruiter.
Rawlings reminds me of Tony from US Survivor when he was hiding in the trees.
Funny you say that. One of my 48 mates (Russky - not his real name) works for the KGB part time. He actually posts on here occasionally.
But he was saying that he sees a future KGB spy in Signor Brady with the way he monitors negotiations and gets deals done.
At first I was agog, but then when you hear about Biggy and Sellers sudden departure, you start to wander……

Assuming Tucker and Phillips go, we'll have one list spot free after the three designated for mandatory draftees, before we get to Payne or Harvey.

That Biggy and Sellers story ain’t going away. At least Robbie Flower would’ve been proud of them. :stern look

If we only have one free spot in that case, of all the positions in the field, bringing in depth for half forward should be the very last choice

Konstanty should be depth… It’s bizarre he played every game when others performed much better than him
"Performed much better than him". His instruction is clearly as a pressure player, with goals as a bonus if it happens. The Konstanty hate is bizarre...none of Payne / Harvey / Fisher / Duursma or even our staple best 23 forwards in Zurhar or Larkey, put on more pressure than he does.

The kid is still 20. He played his role well. Has plenty of time to add elements and isn't the finished product (like most of our side). If Duursma worked as hard defensively as Konstanty he'd be in the side but he doesn't.

Certainly don’t hate him as a player! Tackling and clamping down on opposition f50 distributor is exactly what we need. But until he fixes his panic disposals in front of goal and overall disposal others should get a go ahead of him. Banch and Payne are both pressure players and Curtis is one of the best inside 50 tacklers in the comp. So ideally I’d like him honing his skills in the vfl before he comes back into the side.

We've had much better results in the last ten years or so from later draft picks and rookie picks than we have from recruiting fringe players from other clubs.

We need to sack Rawling immediately we can’t let him go into another trade period after last years Caleb Daniel situation

11 goals - 10 behinds

How many kicks on goal run down? Or out on the full kicks?

Quite a lot of wasted opportunities. He seemed to be more accurate at the start of the year, which may mean confidence got the best of him in the last third of the season.

As others have said, he is there for tackles, pressure acts and perceived pressure. Goals are a bonus.

But kicking half of those behinds as goals would have been a decent-enough debut season.
