I don’t think anyone can tell anything from that particular footage.
True. I saw it live and thought it was push off that got him high but the footage looks like a swinging elbow. I think should challenge and try their luck.

Might get it reduced to 2 weeks but nothing less I reckon. Lambert played out the game so the damage wasn't critical. My take was that some of the Frankston players were getting frustrated because nothing was going right for them and our tackling was strong and relentless. Duryea had had a few push and shoves with his opponent before the incident took place.

What about an extra 1 week discount for the emotional stress it would cause Duryea to have his season (let alone his career) ended? That’s how it works isn’t it?

As I said at the time of the incident, the umpire was looking directly at Lambert as he blocked and pushed Duryea to the ground as he tried to run down the ground. Then, as Duryea tried to get up, he pushed him down again. Pity the umpire didn't blow his whistle to call out that nonsense.

I think that's the end of Scott's career at any level. That's about 5-6 concussions since he joined us.
He was on track for a BOG performance too, with 19 touches + 2 goals until being knocked out before half time.

The more I think about Treloar's performance in the past two VFL games the more I believe we got it wrong in not selecting him for the Freo game. We all knew that he came with a certain amount of risk but even as sub he would have been valuable. He just knows where to position himself at stoppages and his hands are elite in finding a team mate. He could have been very important in stopping Freo's mids from bursting away and creating so much run. All water under the bridge now but perhaps we erred too much on the conservative side.

Was a big mistake not selecting him.
