Excuse my ignorance Vital, but why have you singled out these particular players? Are the somehow tied to the Dogs, ex academy? Or just random guys there was talk we were keen on?

They all played for Footscray last year but were let go.

Lewis was the only one that played even remotely regularly so it's not a huge loss. I kinda wish he was kept for depth but as as a tall forward and a relief ruck he was very undersized.

When you've got a senior competition with examples like us playing Bombers in r3 2018, then not again until r21 2019, but playing other teams (Carlton, North, Port) 3 times in between those dates, nothing surprises me.
