Comprehensively beaten that quarter. Our mids couldn't win a clearance, and our defenders couldn't get it past the halfway mark. Being forced to kick to a contest on the wing, and constantly outnumbered. Forwards barely got a look at it

Garcia going at 2 kicks per Handball over his 25 touches is very promising, especially with how damaging those kicks have been. 9 i50s and 9 tackles.

I don't think we've seen the last of Gardner in the AFL this year.

He's next in line to replace either of Lobb / JOD but there's no reason why all three of them couldn't play given the right opposition.

If Gardner did come in I definitely don't want it to be as part of a trio of key defenders.
