Jacques gives me vibes of Lindsay Gilbee by foot class.

Surely Croft fills that third tall roll currently being held by Poukter. Has the athleticism and the tank. Can then switch in to second ruck and allow us to keep Darcy forward all game.
That seems like the plan.

Halftime report:

Some of our players have developed really well / kudos to the development coaches. Hynes looks a star - has time and aggression. Dolan is just such a smart player - he is our small forward solution and looks better each game - is the most progressed and unlucky not to be playing.

Croft is coming along perfectly for a tall - hands have improved, kicking improved and a few more Kgs and he will be a very hard to leave out.

Most surprising is Jacques - he looks really good. Just slick and smart. How tall is he - looks 188ish but some great defensive acts on much bigger players.

LSmith is being beaten by Reeves (who looks good) will be interesting to see how he responds.

Walker quiet - Selwood looks very solid without being a standout - a preseason in the system and could be anything.

On the downside LJones has dropped off, Coffield looks to have lost interest - slow and terrible no power kicking, Duryea has lost a bit and at his size this takes him from an AFL star to not standing out at VFL - one of my favourites- so sad.

Khamis is a coulda shoulda - he has been held illegally a lot but also dropped three marks and Artie still just looks a few percent off - love him but his development may not be enough - others going past him.

Dovaston looks very very good. 17 years old but already looks ready / hard at it and smart. A bit of a punchable face - but would be great.

Dolan reminds me of Gryan Miers

Very similar issues with Footscray as at WB.

We are exposed when we don't have possession. But are dangerous when we do. He literally just walked through six Hawks defenders, then.

Needing to get stronger when tackling needs to be something that is addressed across all levels of the team. The Hawks player just kinda walked through four Bulldogs bouncing off of him.
