Hope the team gets named soon. I'll feel significantly more comfortable if we have Croft named since we saw how Blanck struggled on him.
Website says 12.30 team will be named.

Croft trained today so should be fine.

So is the team being named today at 12:30? I would have thought it would have been Thursday

Jordan Croft and Jedd Busslinger headline the inclusions for Footscray’s Preliminary Final against Box Hill on Saturday afternoon.

The pair missed through injury and illness last week and will be welcome additions to a team full of AFL-listed talent.

Taylor Duryea comes out of the side after being suspended following the Qualifying Final win over Frankston a fortnight ago.

A victory on Saturday would mean a spot in the VFL Grand Final to be played at IKON Park on Sunday 21 September.

The two teams last met in Round 20, with the Dogs stealing a win from the Hawks in trying conditions in Box Hill.

Young Dog Michael Sellwood had a career-best outing, collecting 28 disposals while both Will Lewis and Jordan Croft bagged goals of three to give the Dogs an important 17-point win.
fixture will begin at 2.10pm at Mission Whitten Oval, with the game to be broadcast live on Channel 7 and 7plus.

The team will enter the game with 17 AFL-listed players.

Footscray claimed the Minor Premiership finishing top of the table in the home-and-away season, while Box Hill were hot on their tails in second place.

Our players combine for 769 AFL games lets get em boys (Almost 1000 if we win and get Doc back next week)

Bussy and Croft in which is good. Hope we start Walker up forward alongside Croft from the start so that he can keep their defenders honest.

Hawks have also named a very strong team.

Think it's close to a 50/50 game

Breust is a massive in and Coffield is going to have his hands full against him. Need to make sure that he's getting double teamed at all times
I have more confidence in our VFL side’s defence than our AFL side’s defence.

Feels weird.

32 listed players in total, 17 for us, 15 for them.

However, if the Hawks win tonight, they'll likely hold back 1 or 2, or at the very least play limited minutes.

Come on Hawks!

Youd think at least one of them would've travelled though as well

I expect Southport to pull right away very soon regardless of conditions.

Edit: Can’t spell

Hugh Dixon too big, tall strong, too everything.

Hugh Dixon too big, tall strong, too everything.

Interesting that he never worked out during his AFL tenures because he's clearly too good to be playing state league football.
If I were Tasmania I'd be chasing him as a mature body. Only 25 so still has time on his hands.

It's hard to tell what sort of advantage the breeze has.

It's definitely favouring Southport's end but it's more of a cross breeze based on the direction most kicks are going.
