With 5 on the bench, I don’t think it really matters. They can monitor his AFL game time

I’d play him in the AFL. 50% AFL game time would be better than 90% game time in the SANFL.
My main concern is he fit enough not to risk reinjuring himself at AFL level.

If we think there is little risk, he plays.

Might be handy to ease him in and rotate guys off the short break.
Looking like Soligo & Curtin should be ins.

Same for ANB if fit.

So 3 changes freshens things up.

If its about integrity

But at least the players in the As know they must perform

Huge risk playing Curtin next week. He’ll get his adaptions for this game in two weeks time. A game at SANFL level will be tough to recover from without there being significant risk after such a long lay off.

Why would there be a significant risk ??

Our injury list looks pretty good at the moment dont you think ;)

I’m not sure about this guy. He came from the NHL with the Philadelphia Fliers. It would be nice if we had a few less hamstring injuries.

Only watched the first half but Curtin didn’t look AFL fit, fair bit of slow jogging around. With Soligo burning, he will be an in, can see them giving Curtin another week.

Not sure about Draper replacing Taylor, doesn’t have Taylor’s smarts or skills, can see him struggling in that role, putting his development back.

Agreed. He shouldn't play next week, lets not rush him.

Play him vs tigers at FF and rest Filthy as he looks like he could do with a freshen up :P

We could use some forward pressure though, we arent getting a great deal

Sounds like another SANFL game for Curtin.

We need to play the long game & be sure he is right to go as too valuable.

He's a deiciple of Burgo, hes been in the AFL environment before

Yes, you are correct, he was Darren Burgess right hand man at Port Adelaide. And that doesn’t matter.

His philosophies might just need a tweak. We haven’t had a hamstring injury in years, now we have a heap of them.

I suspect its a leftover from Burgos "run them into the ground" philosophy

I don't think we have that many more than others - it's been a ridiculous high injury rate across the entire league.

Just reading the stats, really surprised at the response to Soligo's game.

38 and 2 is nothing to be sneezed at.

Were his disposals low impact, or what exactly is the reason for the muted reaction?
Maybe it feels muted cuz it was expected?
He dominated. Level above sanfl.
In the 2nd half it felt like he went at 70% thinking about the showdown already haha, just wanted to get thru the game by then.
If he pulls up well, he's gotta be back in on Friday.
