He needs to get Murphy to teach him the reach around and tickle. That's how Lachie got selected.

Dowling’s stats are impresssive.

I really hope he is a slow burn developer, rather than really good in SANFL and not good enough for AFL.

He showed good signs in 2024 in AFL. Played the last 9 games of the year. Then in 2025 no games until last round. A joke.

Can’t understand why we haven’t seen Dowling since 2024 at afl level. One of him and Edward’s becoming very good midfielders allows Nick’s dream to come true of playing Rachele and or Rankine at FF.

Dowling might not be good enough at afl level, but nothing from his SANFL form or his 10 afl games indicates that!

Same for Edward’s, who I think is a better player than Dowling, and should at least be given a real chance seeming he was a higher pick.

Well you see on the list of our players his name isn't in the first 25 on the spreadsheet, so he's not allowed to play until Nicks potentially bumps him up the order next pre-season.

Like remember a few years ago when Nicks got his undies in a twist about Dowling having good SANFL form and was asked about fans wanting him to get a shot and he started questioning if they actually watch the SANFL and they were just making noise to make noise basically. He doesn't want to play Dowling, it's as simple as that. Kid needs to move on if he gets another offer.

Are those his numbers?

For a player with less than 15 games played, they are very impressive. What more do they expect from a young player. He’s been treated appallingly by Nicks.

Depends on the contract length.

If its for 6 months then I wouldnt bother, if its 18 months and theyre young enough.... its not a silly idea.

I’ve always had this thought we should look at drafting or rookie listing the current Magarey Medalist. If for no other reason, to help with leadership and game day experience with the SANFL side.
