Good edition of Roubaix but I must admit, I don't think it was an all-time edition like many pundits do though. Super race by each of the first and second place riders. WVA for being close many times on the cobbles and breaking through (he really is an incredible rider), and Pogacar for even lining up letting alone finishing 2nd in each of his first two starts.

In hindsight when WVA was reluctant to pull, Pogacar should have let the MDVP group catch them. If he is two-up with WVA, then of course WVA will chase his attacks. From a bigger group, they all look around wondering who will do the work. If MDVP or WVA's teammates try to close the gap they will probably fail and Pogacar is more likely to get away.

I hope he has another go. I already have him close to level with Merckx and if he wins Roubaix and/or the Vuelta at some stage, for me that would make him the GOAT.
It was fastest ever edition with multiple of favorites having punctures, It was so back n forth, I don't know how you can say it wasn't an all-time edition of Paris-Roubaix?

That was just my instinct watching the race. Compared to 2016 when I felt it was an epic while watching it.

Fastest ever mean nothing. And I think the punctures (whilst inevitable in Roubaix) took away from the race all up.

Schmid with the death pull to bring back the break in Brabantse Pijl to set Foldager to sprint for the win.

Amstel Gold is on tonight. I'm getting up at 5 tomorrow so will miss it but Skejlmose, Evenepoel and Vauquelin are probably the favourites

I was skeptical of Remco's sprint but he managed to get Skjelmose to give up 100 m from the line. Well done

Jorgenson crashed last night could have a big domino effect on Vingegaard's TdF at least.

has broken collarbone & ruled out of Flèche Wallonne & Liège–Bastogne–Liège
hopefully he recovers well.
It looked nasty on the TV. Vaquelin wiped out on a left-hand corner, and slid straight into Jorgenson who was ahead of him. Jorgenson went down hard, and didn't look like getting up.

I feel bad for him because skipped all the cobbled races for Ardennes classics.
Cycling is the most brutal sport imo, makes AFL look like child's play.

Last year Philipsen crashed at high-speed TdF at intermediate sprint and had displaced collarbone, broken ribs a bit over a month later he was at La Vuelta winning stages, kind of crazy how bulletproof these guys are.

Jorgenson is a climber who was never going to ride the cobbled classics... but otherwise I 100% agree with you.

It's amazing how quickly they recover from broken bones, and get themselves back racing again.

The fact I got zero likes for this absolute zinger last year was disgraceful by you all:
What do you call a hill with an UTI?
Mur de Huy (Murder wee)
Also a reason why Fleche Wallone is my favourite non-Monument

Schmid entered the climb in about 40th position and 100 metres into the climb was in the top ten. jayco will need to stump up for him to renew his contract.

I don't know why Pidcock wouldn't target this race. Start list was pretty average, Sex ass did what he needed to do but I didn't think there was much to take from it, bit of a training ride.
Think he wanted a stage race (Alps) in his legs instead

Considering his team is going to the Tour and he didn't really get much climbing in at Catalunya because he crashed into a ravine.
Yeah, doing Liege then likely an altitude camp in May/June before Suisse and Tour, might do the Vuelta as well.

Can't help but love his confidence,
but I wouldn't be too confident I did say my prediction Pog > Remco > Seixas in this race.
but Seixas form is really strong, he doesn't seem to lack much, would surprise me he didn't have the endurance given what we have seen.

Remco is either very optimistic, or playing mind games with Seixas. I don't see any reason to think Seixas won't be able to ride Remco off his wheel on the climbs late in the race.
