Decided on Rozee -> Houston and Trac -> Holmes. Leaves me with 111k in the bank. Think I'll just hold Sharp for the moment as I have most of the good rookies already. The only one who tempts me this week is Duursma but I think I'd rather have the spare cash for the moment.

Brains Trust: who do I sack first, Windsor or Coleman?

Not sure of BE as I refuse to give money to Rupert & friends

Coleman BE 25
Windsor BE 40

Windsor has the better role, but scoring is sh!t so I would keep Coleman now he has had the bye and $50k extra ITB.

Assuming structure is ok either way, is Lindsay or Sharp the better trade out if neither are named? The other may go next week if not back so I guess the question is who is more likely to be in for Rd 4

Lindsay and it’s not close… the reason.

Maintain the value of a trade. Lindsay to a 99k rookie nets you near 200k

Sharpe nets you 50k

One can fuel an upgrade the other is his a rookie correction/sideswap

Believe he's referring to Josh Lindsay

i've gone Rozee to Worrell but not feeling confident as apparently he is carrying a calf injury.

May just go with crowd and go down to Houston??

I was planning on going Rozee to Worrell but all the calf injury talk has put me off him so I will probably go with Houston instead.

Houston is also over 50k cheaper and that extra cash will be useful for other trades that need to be made in the next few weeks.

I would be holding Parish at least until after Round 4 when the byes are done. He is going to go up in price and has North this week so could do ok.
Yep I’m leaning towards keeping Parish but turfing Blakiston because Xerri is going to do some very heinous and ghoulish things to him this weekend.

On that note, would probably keep Lindsay ahead of Sharp (if neither are named this week), 54Dogs. Better role (in theory), and less defensive rookies on the immediate horizon. He'll be back in soon.

lol to many relevant Lindsay’s

I’d say Lindsay is a great loop if you don’t have another option as WCE always play late games and DPP guys will help as cover.

Sharp might not miss a week. Role is concerning. If he’s the biggest problem your doing well

whats the word on clug? was keen to start him but faded due to byes which worked out well. could well drop below 100k across a couple games

What a sh!t Show of a start to the season so far with injuries dictating plans

So far from my team
Gulden
Sharp
Petracca
Rozee
Murdock

Not to mention ded beats like TDK , Lombard , Rosas etc

SC should make special consideration and grant extra 10 trades the way the season has started

If I can't get Jordan Clark, I'll get JDaicos. But he plays on Friday night... sigh

With no Murdock I'm changing plans, is Blamires worth taking? I reckon I've got the rest of the must have rooks (once I get Cook this week).

I want to get as much cash gen as possible but if I skip Blamire this week I'll get Houston this week, otherwise I'll wait it out a week for him.

Blamires seems borderline must have, base price, decent role, mature aged and scoring seems sustainable (from a tiny sample). Would imagine we would wanna be pumping games into him as well although you never know with rookies

Season 2026 has started off well here, nailing Captains early on undoubtedly assisting.

Like plenty have Petracca and Rozee to deal with, adding Dawson to the injury list for at least this week.

Not sold on (Rozee to) Houston with Moore and Howe back, despite the price (this was before others here and the Tweeter world suggested the same, after checking out the DFS 'with and without' daaaarta). Whilst I'd like him (had him last year), for ranking purposes can't go Ash with the bye next week, likewise NWM (even though leaves me with 21 or 22 depending on what do with Dawson). J Daicos has popped his head up, but like Houston I can't be sure what his role is with Moore and Howe back. Wary of Worrell's calf particularly off a 5 day break. Stewart won and lost me games last season, was placed on my LTNA (long term never again list). The no player over the age of 30 rule applies with my team so I can't entertain my man Zorko. Point in time the only other players entering the frame for me are Clark (another I had last year), who is a rollercoaster, and some interest in McKercher with Logue out, but who knows what his role is going to be week in week out (121 BE attainable v ESS but if he puts up another 80 he'd be straight away on the block). Anyways, it comes down to one of these lot.

Petracca to Holmes is all but locked in, despite the risk of the occasional tag. Some temptation with Merrett, but I already have Parish and Roberts and at least for now Sharp - I can't bring myself to bring another Bomber into the side, and we know if Merrett gets attention he goes to water (just like Serong, who I had last year and single handedly won or lost me games). I'm expecting my boy Will Ashcroft to improve, but can't go there just yet with that BE, and even with Suitcase out but back next week (I expect, anyway) there's too many points to go around in the Lions midfield. May end up in my finished team, time will tell.

Leaning on keeping Dawson if it's a precautionary thing with the quick backup (has to be, given he wasn't on their injury list, hey?).

Depending on the cash situation after Holmes and which defender I go will decide whether I ditch Sharp (less Bombers the better), or Lombard. Expect Lombard to snag the odd good score against shite teams, whereas Sharp can't snag the odd good score as he plays for Essendon and they don't play Essendon. If were forced to trade either of these to fund the Rozee/Trac trades would likely be Sharp, and bring in that Scerri kid (assuming he's named, a $99k MF DPP is handy at the best of times).

Spent a fair bit of time on this so feel free to comment :thumbsu:
