I’d like to post some goal kicking stats just to see where our forward line is at.

McKercher going real well given where he has been playing from. Big +

Definitely need more from that bottom 3-4 names (and whoever replaces them this year). Even an extra 2 goals a game would be a massive increase.

Yeah Simpkin. We probably need another 3-4 guys to average 1 goal or more.
2 goals extra a game would have put us 6th for points scored. 20 points more than the lions.

If we increased our i50’s to the league average (approx 46 to 52) it would just about account for those 2 extra goals assuming we had the same efficiency.

Our problem really isn’t goal scoring, it’s everything else.

Sneaky chance we could get him in the trade period? Would really help balance the midfield I reckon, bring some more defense to our team more broadly and insure us against Wardlaw body issues.

Maybe Simpkin for Sanders + F3? Simpkin is not really what we need right now and I think bulldogs are pushing for finals. Not desperate to move on Simpkin but getting Sanders would be massive.

Our list has very similar average age, experience and number of players with 100+ games to Gold Coast after their offseason shift to youth. Whether that implies we have a lot of upside, they risk a big slide or a bit of both time will tell.
