Yeah, I've thought about this too, but I'm glad any trade that might've made us good enough to keep Goodwin around longer didn't go through.

Merrett in our system could be great with his running, but I dunno. Is he a sook who will eat up all the CBA's? You'd want to be sure giving up 2 firsts (or more) for him at his age. Would rather throw the kitchen sink at Butters if we are going after a pure mid.

Butters is a much better option because of his age. Merrett is a good option if we think we are close. We're talking about coming off a preliminary final loss.
