Yeah, I've thought about this too, but I'm glad any trade that might've made us good enough to keep Goodwin around longer didn't go through.First crack said Harley Reid has moved into the top 20 rated players in the comp. Id imagine he'd be an absolute monster playing under king this year if that deal had actually happened
Maybe, if we go for a key forward this year, but not 100% sure we do? Other things to tick off first, but you never know!Walter is our man then I suspect (?)
Fire react Proper GanderLet’s also not forget the preseason where Petracca was hoping his destination would be out of the pool and instead he wound up almost drowning. TRADE WISH DENIED.
I wished we splashed everything at Seth Campbell. No-one suits our list more than him. Great age, fast, tough, hits the scoreboard and would compliment our running brigade and replace Melksham for the next 10 years.
I don't rate Humphrey as highly as others. 15 touches and a goal per game. We get that from Kade Chandler.
I dont want humphrey at his cost. he'd be a nice piece but not for what the asking price would be. its a lot for a guy that averages only 15 touches and a goal.
so i said pre-season that we shouldnt overpay for Humphrey as we get 15 touches and a goal from Kade Chandler.
Best just to wait until he's out of contract.
No. We just got rid of a bunch of culture toxins. Why would we need to import any.Toby Greene

I'm more in the camp that he's just not a type we need atm.Is he that bad? Obviously very hateable on-field as an oppo fan but he looks like the type of leader you’d love to play with.
he'd come a lot cheaper than Humphrey. Even though he's better. If he was playing for Gold Coast, that'd be ticking up to 1.5-1.8 goals a game I reckon.

Plus, out of "mid-forwards", of which there's currently 39 listed, he's:
38th for kicking efficiency.
37th for kick retention.
21st for inside 50 retention.
25th for ball use.
29th for goal accuracy (x-score).
33rd for set shot rating.
38th for free kick differential.
22nd for pressure acts.
Not in the top 10 for tackles or tackles inside 50.
Would not be worth the price tag compared against what we have and what we need.
IMO he's not leaving GWS for a team other than say Geelong or Hawthorn for any less than $1m per year. I wouldn't be paying that for him in the context of our needs.Oh definitely, I wasn’t suggesting we should go for him, just querying whether he was a shit bloke or not.
Agree he’s probably not the right fit, although he’d be box office. As a UFA tho, especially if Melk retires … it’s a maybe for me.
We're just making up stats now to hang our hats on are we? In that case, then I say you can pretty much double Humphrey's goal average given we kick more goals per game than the Suns.he'd come a lot cheaper than Humphrey. Even though he's better. If he was playing for Gold Coast, that'd be ticking up to 1.5-1.8 goals a game I reckon.
