Last year he was a solid engine room big midfielder with versatility to play across the back line due to solid aerial stuff. A consistent performer, but perhaps a bit too vanilla to excite recruiters.

I haven't watched him this year.

I'm not so sure I like that. I love Sparrows leadership and tackle pressure so I don't know. Zak Butters is a great player, I just don't feel comfortable losing Tom Sparrow for him.

FMD I wish they went to Waverley, we could actually attract talent now we look OK if we had certainty around a home base for the next 5-10 years.

I think they just got the teams/players mixed up. It'd be 5, 13 and Butters for Tom Sparrow that they meant. That'd certainly get us to the table.
