I assume it would have to be a three year deal minimum, on good money, to get Neale to consider.

I'd do that in a heartbeat. He's got a great history with his body and is playing at an elite level. Since he joined Brisbane he's missed 9 of 165 games and 7 of those were due to back and ankle issues in 21.

Honestly I think the only thing that stops a deal would be the fact that his kids are in Perth. No small hurdle.
Crows will go hard for him too.

Mitch Lewis would be my alternative to King. Not the big name that many crave but I believe he would fit our side really well. One of the best contested marks in the league and would be a real presence up forward for us.

I would absolutely go for Neale too. I think he would be an excellent piece of business and with Pendlebury retiring, gives us another high end midfielder, one who leads the competition in centre clearances. This is critical to ease the burden on Daicos. Yes it may only be a 2 year solution, but the guy is still elite right now.

I think Lewis & Neale would be great business, and keep the side competing, while attacking the draft as we desperately need.

Talk of vic clubs monitoring Elijah Hewett

His body has been a little bit a miss but he could complement our next batch of on ballers —particularly in the JDG mould of power and burst.

Wouldn’t come too expensive via trade either I reckon on exposed form.

One to watch and hopefully we consider if he’s serious about moving from Perth

Loved him in his draft year. He was meant to slide to the late teens, but WCE chose him instead of Ed Allan.

Why not invent a time machine and go back to the past, bring a young Buddy Franklin back and put him into our team, more chance of that happening than getting Caddy. I don't know why people indulge in such fantasy.
I can think of better things to do with a time machine

What do you believe it would take to pry Lewis out of Hawthorn? He is 28 this year. Over 9 seasons he has suffered significant injuries every year and has averaged just under 10 games per season

Had a senior moment and thought you were talking about Elijah Hollands, FMD!

Hewett would be interesting, I agree. Thought he was progressing well last year but hasn’t been too good this year

Hawks won't let Lewis go if he stays fit. They need him.

Free Agent, just a decent contract, 3-4 years on decent coin.
Hawks wouldn't offer more than 2 you would think.

Trade future 1sts & a player.
Why would Essendon accept future firsts in heavily compromised drafts for one of their brightest contracted stars?

Playing hypotheticals.....
Clearly Essendon would dig it's heels in, IF Caddy asked for a trade.
He's just on my wish list as I believe he's on our target list

I’m very suspicious about this Neale stuff. I’ve seen the movie before.

But if moving to Melbourne isn’t an issue, I can’t see a world where he’s not in black and white next year?

Unrestricted free agent? Huge tick. With the reported war chest we have, we can put forward an offer too good to refuse.

If he plays for a WA team he’ll be on a plane every two weeks. It makes sense not wanting to put his body through all the travel and at least it’s up to HIM when he wants to see his kids.

Biggest club, biggest crowds, biggest games and gets to play on the G.

Fly has told him he can extend his career, no doubt about that.

And he can fly his mistress to Melbourne without worrying he’ll run into is ex at breakfast Sunday mornings.
Oh, and the $900k a season he’ll get off the Pies will assist with the 70/30 spousal maintenance split...

I find it odd they took on Allen & Draper. They wouldnt have been cheap.

Apparenty they committed $900k p.a. to Allen

I wouldn’t be offering the world for a 34 year old.

- 2 years x $750k max
