Much simpler. You're underestimating what we've added and over-estimating what others have added. Cats have added a couple of superstars from country Vic who didn't want the lime light and wanted to live on farms. The other Vic teams haven't blitz. Freo have done well recently.

I assume it would have to be a three year deal minimum, on good money, to get Neale to consider.

I'd do that in a heartbeat. He's got a great history with his body and is playing at an elite level. Since he joined Brisbane he's missed 9 of 165 games and 7 of those were due to back and ankle issues in 21.

Honestly I think the only thing that stops a deal would be the fact that his kids are in Perth. No small hurdle.

Why not invent a time machine and go back to the past, bring a young Buddy Franklin back and put him into our team, more chance of that happening than getting Caddy. I don't know why people indulge in such fantasy.

Yeah he is. And the lead mark KPFs haven't been recently.

Every Brisbane forward is having best seasons ever on the back of a dominant midfield. Morris is averaging 2.5 goals a game, and 5.1 shots at goal but let down by poor accuracy (47%). Lohman is averaging 2 goals a game and 3.4 shots per game (59% accuracy). Bailey is averaging 2 goals per game and 3 shots (63%) and is also attending 30% of Centre Bounces as well. Oscar is averaging 1.7 goals a game and having 3.4 shots (52% accuracy). Charlie is averaging 2.3 goals & having 3.4 shots per game (67% accuracy). These 5 players alone are averaging nearly 20 shots at goal per game this year

Talk of vic clubs monitoring Elijah Hewett

His body has been a little bit a miss but he could complement our next batch of on ballers —particularly in the JDG mould of power and burst.

Wouldn’t come too expensive via trade either I reckon on exposed form.

One to watch and hopefully we consider if he’s serious about moving from Perth

Poor bugger.
And I heard him interviewed on SEN about how he was aware and it impacted his mental health. It was a sad bu enlightened interview.
The players definitely know.

The media weaponise a lot of the criticism. When Mayne arrived they were relentless in their criticism of his salary Same with McStay

I’d absolutely do a trade for Elijah Hewett. He reminds me of a young De Goey (when at full fitness).

Mitch Lewis would be my alternative to King. Not the big name that many crave but I believe he would fit our side really well. One of the best contested marks in the league and would be a real presence up forward for us.

I would absolutely go for Neale too. I think he would be an excellent piece of business and with Pendlebury retiring, gives us another high end midfielder, one who leads the competition in centre clearances. This is critical to ease the burden on Daicos. Yes it may only be a 2 year solution, but the guy is still elite right now.

I think Lewis & Neale would be great business, and keep the side competing, while attacking the draft as we desperately need.
