I think we'd get at least 2 good years out of him. You wouldn't trade for that but as a free agent of course we should.Lachie Neale would be 34 next year, his first year with us.
we shouldn’t recruit a top mid in the AFL because it won’t look good?Don't think its great too let Mihochek walk at 33 becaue we are tring to reduce our age demographic, only to recruit a 34 year old midfielder a year later.
Us going for Neale this early on, reeks that we have missed out on all our targets (Butters, Bailey, Humphrey) and are now looking to a stop gap.
What?? You are speaking about age as if that is the only consideration.Don't think its great too let Mihochek walk at 33 becaue we are tring to reduce our age demographic, only to recruit a 34 year old midfielder a year later.

The best midfielder on the reigning back-to-back premier is a good backup to pursueAm I? He turns 34 in May 2027, 2 months after the start of the season and 4 months before finals.
I don't mind the idea of Neale, but signals to me missed that we have missed out on other targets we wanted.
Given the no of small forwards we have , I wouldn't mind converting one of them into a midfielder or a key position defender.
Loved Brodie, but he's cooked.Don't think its great too let Mihochek walk at 33 becaue we are tring to reduce our age demographic, only to recruit a 34 year old midfielder a year later.

We'd be mad to bank on getting any of those. Brisbane will probably make sure they keep Bailey and we'll hardly be the only team interested in him - the other two will cost a bomb in trade. Like last year, we'll be looking to add a mid. Hopefully we get a good one - one with a lot of time ahead would be great, but a good one for a short time would be very good too.Us going for Neale this early on, reeks that we have missed out on all our targets (Butters, Bailey, Humphrey) and are now looking to a stop gap.
Hayes, Schultz and saxena would obviously be on the no trade list.Who do you suggest we part with ?
Yep. Two with a trigger is perfect. If any club is going to get him playing good footy at over age 33, it’s us.Two with a trigger for a third. Don’t like him, but he can play football. He’d easily be our 2nd best midfielder.
Well not sure neale will stay in Brisbane because he wouldn't be any closer to his family in WA.I could see Brisbane prioritising Bailey over Neale.
I’m already salivating at Neale dishing it out to Naicos. Far out. Enough33 or 34 , not like its a talking difference of a 24 year old to a 32 year old
Does he improve us , absolutely , Interesting space to watch
I feel we have to do something to support Nick more in the midfield

Butters and Bailey are huge costs. Humphrey appeals, in a recent game he was rated in the bottom 3. Mihochek was struggling and list balance the end of this year is totally different than last year. The end of Howes, Pendles, Sidey and Membrey totally changes the list profile from when Checkers left. The competition for players is fierce, they may not be available to the pies. Neale will not cost $750, I suspect that is lower than the first bid. Don’t care about Fev news, I’m just on the train.Don't think its great too let Mihochek walk at 33 becaue we are tring to reduce our age demographic, only to recruit a 34 year old midfielder a year later.
