Yeah im not against keeping him on the list if he can show some decent signs towards the end of the year at WAFL level. We know he has the talent. He just needs a good run at it and by the looks of his gym results, he is putting in the work!

I think he's always been deceptively strong. Way back in his first game he was holding his own for strength against Michael Hurley. Pushed him out of the way easily in a marking contest.

I wonder if he's got some genetics where his body can output speed/power/strength beyond what is normal, but the cost is his body falling apart under the strain of the forces it is capable of exerting. Any medical experts?
He’s lost contact with the Speed Force or the Compound V is wearing off.

Am I the only one that thinks Sturt will be delisted?
Interesting player.
Fremantle don’t have medium forward depth at all. Banfield is out of contract as well.
Can see Sturt getting a rookie spot. With Tasmania coming in, mature age talent will be even more important.

Feel like there’s other players that should be delisted ahead of Sturt and Banfield due to depth.

Maybe it comes down to, if they offer more value than a mature age recruit.

If Sturt can show his body will hold up then I am fine to keep with him, but that looks more and more unlikely.

Not sure about Banfield, for me he is competing with players like O'Meara or Walker for a spot. He has not played forward for along time.

We don't get any of the money back that has been spent on retaining a player that hasn't played for us by extending their contract over and over. We do need to decide if the output of a player like Sturt in 2027 is going to be more than the player projected as being available for that.

If another McVee came along but we were one list spot short, direct comparison possible, much easier.

Sturt and McVee both have really clean hands picking the ball up, Sturt has a class with his use that shows why he is a first round pick - he just doesn't get involved as much since Amiss plays the same role at a bigger frame and far more available.

Our medium forwards currently are Amiss (arguably), Frederick, Reid, Young.

... hard to crack into that when our midfield rotation into the medium forward role are two of our best players.

Ideally, you'd have everyone fit and ask would Amiss play better at Voss' role with Sturt in Amiss'. If Sturt is going to be depth then he has to be fit.

Good morning all,
Our rehab group today is:
Sturt (I’m shocked)
Pearce (big support on the knee) I will take it as a positive that he is out there.
Big Cox (ok this one worries me)
Wagner
No Darcy (watching from the sidelines I think)
No Walker which is no surprise

Lots of players being managed and going through rehab group including Young and JOM.

Wagner and big Cox have stayed in the rehab group but are doing enough marking and kicking to suggest they are being managed/sore.

Pearce and Darcy the clear ones who are multiple weeks away.

Scerri with the practice game highlights, Bolton tried “the move” on him and Scerri was just too quick to be fooled and continued on to tackle another player as well. Our best pressure player, hopefully can add kicking some goals to his skill set, will play plenty of AFL

Big Cox back into main training, all alarm bells now cancelled. Big Cox and Darcy now involved in rucks practice against each other which is the best news of the day.
Guy walks off to take a shit, supporters and media - watch this space, something is happening!

Cox said at the end of the game that the six day breaks were catching up with him so probably just sore

Have you got a read on Scerri's field kicking? didn't see a lot of kicking during his 4 AFL games and he hasn't played much WAFL.
