Contrary to much of the negative stuff posted here, I've done 22 positives from tonight's game, most of which came in the last quarter!

JR - Improving slowly and put his ass on the line tonight... starting to look very good across half forward. He is deceptively strong and looking forward to watching his growth with his confidence, it'll rocket.
Murph - Absolute young gun of the competition. Ben cousins the second. Just a natural. Sign him up quickly.
Gibbsy - Mr versatile. Nathan Buckley the second. Killed Cornes and backed into two packs when needed in the last quater. His footy nouse is ridiculous. Disposal is sensational already. He is just about my favourite and his critics seriously know nothing about football.
Juddy - What a leader. Best game in the navy blue tonight. What a leader. Nothing more needs to be said.
Simmo - Ran his ass off all night. Ran himself into the ground which affected his decision making at time but he is a gem. Link work was great.
Bentdick -
Tackled hard all night. In my opinion, Hads looked better than him earlier in the year but he's proved me wrong. Great stuff AB. Clearance work and pressure around the stoppages is first rate.
Kreuz - I mentioned to everyone I was watching the game with he should be rested for next week in the third quarter.
How wrong could I be? Sensational Kreuz. Really made people stand up and notice him. Great contested marking in the forwardline plus his run is great for a big bloke.
Fish - Playing up the ground a lot. Not ever going to be a CHF but did really well, took some marks and was a great link player tonight.
Browney - Solid as always in the backline. Will be a very reliable player for a long while. Very happy with this fella.
Grigga - Really stood up in the last quarter as well. He was fantastic. Still doesn't think enough with his delivery into the F50 but I'll excuse him as it was nice and wet tonight. He worked his ass off and gave us plenty of run. Put his body on the line in one particular contest I remember that led to a goal.
Irish - Improving every week. Was almost written off a couple of weeks ago but he was great again. Liked his run too a couple of times.
Eddie - Did pretty well. Needs to work his way in the game more and make his tackles stick. Great goal off the groud and was the only presence at ground level in the F50 in the first half.
Hammo - In one passage of play showed that he'll be and absolute gem. Was a great lesson for him tonight. Gee he worked hard and is getting better at stoppages too.
Stevo - Cornes killed him the first three quarters. His effectiveness and composure in the last quarter was absolutely sensational. Great personal comeback by a senior player.
Fev - Glad he didn't lose his head. Could have very easily tonight. Bombs were coming from all angles until Gibbsy hit him on the HFF. Chased hard all night.
Army - Looks like he has 40 games experience already. Runs hard, works hard, has pace and shut down Pearce and had more damaging possessions himself.
Clokey - Has hardly played a bad game. Puts in 100% every game and was very very good again tonight. I always thought that Kreuz and Hammo would overtake him but tonight gave me renewed hope that the three can play together with one up forward.
Scotto - Worked hard around the ground. Did really well and was more involved at the stoppages tonight. Liked his work tonight.
Waitey - Still have my heart in my mouth every time he goes for a run but how good was that team lifting goal? Sensational. Could be a real leader in years to come. Did really well tonight.
Tbird - Great effort tonight playing on the hottest small forward in the comp. So versatile in the backline and will not get much credit tonight but he should. Well done TBird.
Wiggo - Presented well and really put his ass on the line. Couple of crucial 50/50s in the last quarter.
Carrats - Gee he doesn't get much contested footy which is getting more and more frustrating but still picked up 20 odd possies and provided some run of half back.

Was very very proud tonight. Blue Boys showed ticker that we have only showed a few times the last couple of years. This is a win to build on. Whether we make finals thisyear, next year or the year after, this is the one that has labelled us as fair dinkum. The team was so young tonight and the blues are back... Officially. Go the Baby Blues. WE ARE CARLTON. F__K THE REST!

Was surprised to see Hampson only had around 5 touches. Thought he did really well and showed some great movement and footy nouse.

T-bird didnt let motlop have much effect on the game after 1/4 time.

Stevo was easilt beaten but his last qtr effort was crucial, just needs to work harder defensively.

Armfield looks so composed. His goal was class and just looks at ease in the backline.

Grigga is becoming a favorite. Just loves the contest and is starting to back himself. Just got to get that left foot kicking goals!

23RD Positive

Ratts and the coaching staff - finally coming to the realisation that fev cant do it all. to pull off that turn-around cant all be the players. hats off to ratten, your tactical prowess was evident in the last quarter.

True that! Would love to know what he said at three quarter time in the huddle.

Murph - Absolute young gun of the competition. Ben cousins the second. Just a natural. Sign him up quickly. If he stays off the coke, he will be fine.
Gibbsy - Mr versatile. Nathan Buckley the second. Killed Cornes and backed into two packs when needed in the last quater. His footy nouse is ridiculous. Disposal is sensational already. He is just about my favourite and his critics seriously know nothing about football. Not really a Nathan Buckley. More a Brad Boyd or Paul Roos type. Buckley was a game breaker. Gibbs is not a gamebreaker.
Juddy - What a leader. Best game in the navy blue tonight. What a leader. Nothing more needs to be said. Correct
Simmo - Ran his ass off all night. Ran himself into the ground which affected his decision making at time but he is a gem. Link work was great. Will get better when Walker returns to help him out off the HB line
Bentdick -
Tackled hard all night. In my opinion, Hads looked better than him earlier in the year but he's proved me wrong. Great stuff AB. Clearance work and pressure around the stoppages is first rate. the Carlton Sammy Mitchell. Needs to stay in the team
Kreuz - I mentioned to everyone I was watching the game with he should be rested for next week in the third quarter.
How wrong could I be? Sensational Kreuz. Really made people stand up and notice him. Great contested marking in the forwardline plus his run is great for a big bloke. Hmm..played a role up forward. Ruckwork still needs to improve. It will in time
Fish - Playing up the ground a lot. Not ever going to be a CHF but did really well, took some marks and was a great link player tonight. Plays best when on a lead up role
Browney - Solid as always in the backline. Will be a very reliable player for a long while. Very happy with this fella. The new Andy collins???
Grigga - Really stood up in the last quarter as well. He was fantastic. Still doesn't think enough with his delivery into the F50 but I'll excuse him as it was nice and wet tonight. He worked his ass off and gave us plenty of run. Put his body on the line in one particular contest I remember that led to a goal. this guy will be the biggest improver in the 2nd half of the season
Irish - Improving every week. Was almost written off a couple of weeks ago but he was great again. Liked his run too a couple of times. did you see how he sung the song after the game...nearly leapt all the way back to Melbourne!
Eddie - Did pretty well. Needs to work his way in the game more and make his tackles stick. Great goal off the groud and was the only presence at ground level in the F50 in the first half. Needs to get up out of the forward 50 more and utilise his ability
Hammo - In one passage of play showed that he'll be and absolute gem. Was a great lesson for him tonight. Gee he worked hard and is getting better at stoppages too. best game so far for Carlton. 2nd efforts were pleasing
Stevo - Cornes killed him the first three quarters. His effectiveness and composure in the last quarter was absolutely sensational. Great personal comeback by a senior player. Allowed KC to earn me some valuable super coach points. Had a bad one, but this is not the norm
Fev - Glad he didn't lose his head. Could have very easily tonight. Bombs were coming from all angles until Gibbsy hit him on the HFF. Chased hard all night. Cant wait till we see his formal reply to Chad
Army - Looks like he has 40 games experience already. Runs hard, works hard, has pace and shut down Pearce and had more damaging possessions himself. If he backs himself to run through the lines, will be very valuable. Could be a jason Gram type
Clokey - Has hardly played a bad game. Puts in 100% every game and was very very good again tonight. I always thought that Kreuz and Hammo would overtake him but tonight gave me renewed hope that the three can play together with one up forward. The next Paul Dear???
Scotto - Worked hard around the ground. Did really well and was more involved at the stoppages tonight. Liked his work tonight. Mr consistent
Waitey - Still have my heart in my mouth every time he goes for a run but how good was that team lifting goal? Sensational. Could be a real leader in years to come. Did really well tonight. Needed to be moved to CHF earlier as the "X" man.
Tbird - Great effort tonight playing on the hottest small forward in the comp. So versatile in the backline and will not get much credit tonight but he should. Well done TBird. Shouldda gone to the Hawks :D
Wiggo - Presented well and really put his ass on the line. Couple of crucial 50/50s in the last quarter. Most underrated player in the team. Matty Hogg style courage and work ethic
Carrats - Gee he doesn't get much contested footy which is getting more and more frustrating but still picked up 20 odd possies and provided some run of half back. Not everyone needs to be an inside player.

Was very very proud tonight. Blue Boys showed ticker that we have only showed a few times the last couple of years. This is a win to build on. I fully agree. Quite strong hands. A fierce competitor.

Also, he always plays in front.
Although, I guess that comes from every time he tries to have a go at his wife from behind she takes a dive . So, consequently, he has learn't to get in the front position for best results.
