So the offer * have made to Goldy, which he’s accepted, is for one year only. He’s still studying his law degree and quite frankly needs the cash, having completed a house rebuild and having a million kids and an ex.

The Colliwobble offer was mostly match payments incentives whereas the * offer is guaranteed moula. There’s no additional coaching deal either btw so he could well return in that capacity down the track.

Why * when they have Draper? Their medicos are very concerned with Draper’s hip injury, to the point they fear it could be career ending if not managed correctly. With that fear in mind they feel acquiring Goldy buys *them time to get things right with Draper, or gives *them their best shot at it without the pressure to play him prematurely or play him too often.
