yep..and that energy and bounce is going to be so valuable especially early in the season.yeah, he looked alright, creates some energy and bounce
something for fans to get excited about early on toyep..and that energy and bounce is going to be so valuable especially early in the season.
throw him in for rd.1
absolutely. people expecting anything more from short than constant blind bombs straight to the opposition are kidding themselves. oh sorry he does get the odd hand off goal from 50, so there's that. grlj was trying to make things happen, not just refer pressure to someone else 60 meters away.Locked for round 1, especially ahead of Short and Hugo.

Like last year in the VFL, he just stepped in and got the job done...He's a monty for Round 1, it won't faze him...Grlj is better defensively too. Hates losing.
Why do you believe the list lacks speed ?Think we’ve seen enough last year in the VFL and today to play him.
The list lacks speed, he has plenty of that and he’s a competitor. He’ll have his ups and downs, I think he may turn it over a bit early in his career, but he’ll be a high metres gained player straight up and will iron out any deficiencies with experience.
we lost 2 of the quickest players in the competition at the end of 2024. That left a hole re line breaking speed off hb and through the midfield. I think they’ll end up being great trades for the future, but there’s an immediate impact. Why do you believe the list lacks speed ?
I think we have more than enough players with good - Great speed
Its just 3-4 players that would be considered below average
Lalor has speed and so does Cummingwe lost 2 of the quickest players in the competition at the end of 2024. That left a hole re line breaking speed off hb and through the midfield. I think they’ll end up being great trades for the future, but there’s an immediate impact.
Got a couple of good ones in Hotton and Grlj in the last 2 years, but they are a number of years away from doing what Shai and Dan were doing.
Seth the other one that I’m hoping takes his game to the next level.
Really looking like he could be one out of the box this kid , has A grade qualities . Let’s hope he keeps progressing, could have a high ceilingTook a step towards Rd 1 selection today for mine ....

His speed and agility matched with an ability to find the footy will take him far , in 12-18mths with a bit of beef on the frame , he,ll be a midfielderWatching him last year I felt he had close to highest ceiling in the class (cdt and Robey only two higher not including academy players), lacked a bit of consistency and had a meh champs which hurt. Just has so many elite weapons.
But my favourite thing about him is he’s psychotic. You watch him outside the play and he did things like shove Josh Lindsay over for no reason while he was trying to get back up, or vs Sandy he basically got in fight with Dalton/Terexia/Bamert (basically Sandy’s midfield) at every other stoppage.
He also lives and breathes footy. Gonna be a star.
going off player interviews he sounds like he is uniquely driven. Zero ****ing around just goes full intensity in everything. Already bigger than I thought he’d be at this stage so has the same attitude in the gym. Very exciting. His speed and agility matched with an ability to find the footy will take him far , in 12-18mths with a bit of beef on the frame , he,ll be a midfielder
An off year last year? He's been off for the last 3 years. As bad as last season was, it was better than the year before.Players can be criticised for sure but Short has been a very good player for us, but did have an off year last year.
Not a 3x premiership player.I hate this idea as he is a 3x premiership player, winner of eh B&F and leader on and off the field.
Short will still play.Locked for round 1, especially ahead of Short and Hugo.
