It just means he's supremely talented and a better natural footballer than about 40 other blokes on the list.

He had a great return in 2023, but he did it off of half rat power, almost all of his best work was in the contest or out of stoppage. It's not as if he was gut running between the arcs linking up play..... he wasn't anywhere near AFL fit.

He could be a brownlow medalist, yet some people seem to be satisfied with a 6th place B&F finish in the worst North Melbourne side in a lifetime.

The NMFC supporter base are a bunch of goldfish at times, give them 6-10 weeks of decent football and the previous 5 years is irrelevant.

Tarryns never had 30 disposals in a game (it's as much a sign of a players aerobic ability as anyhting), in fact his career high is 26. He's had 14 x 20+ disposal games in 70 games, he's entering his 7th season, so he averages a little over 10 games a season so far also, not all of it injury.

He could be a North great, but at the moment he doesn't want it, clearly.

Yes, he was able to return to playing far quicker than many (including myself) assumed last year, hitting top end form very quickly and finishing 6th in the B n F accordingly.
