I feel for him too. But he was just about the last bloke put on a poor list, and showed nothing when he was given a chance. Sucks for him but this was a pretty easy list decision.

Probably got the contract because the spot was available, needed to be used and he had put in good service. Gets to say he played in the big league. Do wish he'd shown more with his shot.

Just didn't seem to be the same dynamic player at VFL level he had been, post debut.
Had his confidence wrecked, which meant Tyler never played well enough to get another chance.
It's a shame, but hopefully one day we'll be able to pluck out a Stewart, Atkins type from our VFL side.

He was a victim of the fact our forward line has seemingly no game plan. Just a bunch of individuals trying their best. He needed to be leading into space and creating room for Larkey and vice versa

Be interesting to see what he does in 2025. Does he take the riches on offer at surburban level or does he try give it another crack at the VFL. Still only 22, so potentially still a bit of upside.

He was unfortunate his 2 games came, when we were at our absolute worst.
But also unfortunately he didn't play well enough at VFL level to get back in, when we were playing better footy.
Will always be an unknown, whether Tyler had more to give.

We overpaid in terms of draft capital, $$$ and length of contract. To be fair though, you could have never predicted he'd do an achilles.

We butchered his chance with us because we were using a patch work to cover a chasm of a list hole.

Around the best performed forward in the lower leagues and we threw him in over his head and asked far far too much of him.

Then banished him entirely.

by no means do I think letting him go was or would be make or break for us just another move in a long line of a pattern of moves where we do things just to make do.
