I don't think the 6 day breaks do jack any favours.

With a 'road trip' coming up, match committee have an opportunity (reason/excuse) to "rest" the old fella and try something else.

For me it would be Teakle - a better second ruck, and he's in reasonable nick in front of the sticks

Is he? Curtis is still reliant on being opportunistic and taking difficult chances because we're not giving him much quality service. Can't think of too many times we've kicked to him in an isolated 1 v 1 situation. And even if he was isolated Simpkin or Zurhaar would kick to Larkey in a 1 v 3 content.

Also, Curtis does the exact same thing as all our other forwards; leads anywhere but at the ball carrier. He had an instance where he backtracked to the goal square against Gold Coast and forced Zurhaar to attempt a miracle pass, which he somehow pulled off. It's borderline comic how hard we have to work for our goals

After playing 306 matches at North Melbourne, Adam Simpson will this week have some familiar company alongside him on that exact games tally: Former disciple Jack Darling. The veteran forward played made 223 appearances under Simpson – the most of any player – when the Kangaroos great turned his hand to coaching. The durable Darling has missed just 24 games since his debut in 2011, but has taken 40 extra days to reach game 306 compared to Simpson’s playing career

No benchmark, not relevant, cost nothing. Not sure why we played 3 talls up fwd, that was ridiculous.

Id play Maley for the next month at least
Said the same thing. It was stupid on any ground in modern AFL but even worse on a quick ground like Marvel.

Darling isn’t contributing and he’s finished at AFL level. Free? No one else wanted him, he has a contract, we’re paying him and he’s occupying a list spot.

3 talls is the way to go

Straightens us up, gives us targets up forward at all times

But I’d rather teakle over darling as second ruck

Bullshit absolute rubbish. Duursma is a marking player as well . Darling is past it anyway.

And the 3 talls failed tonight against a rubbish opponent. How you think they'll go against good opposition.

Im hopeful as Duursma puts on size he plays as a slightly smaller CHF.

Yes Nostra. Our score of 62 against one of the worst defensive sides in the league is a really strong indication the dinosaur forward formation works tremendously well.

Then again this is the same comedian who gave us the CCJ is a gun rubbish for years so who’s surprised?
