A very timely release. Well done Heath. I hope this educates a few people.

Nice gesture for the kid. Kayne has always been a player who brings something intangible to the side beyond his raw stats, Anderson is looming as a similar type.

Can't fault him for his defensive effort.

But...if he is getting the footy more often and kicking more goals it makes the oppositions defence even more accountable.

I know its the hardest position to play but when he is at his best he is more than capable of adding a few goals per game.

Goals will come when he doesn't have to exert so much energy in defensive efforts (i.e. when the midfield gets up to scratch)

This is brilliant. I've been hard on Kayne this year but I've also stated that he's been best 22 for at least two years now. Integral part of our set up and no one else comes close to applying his pressure up forward apart from Anderson who we're seeing is more comfortable starting in the midfield and resting forward.

Good pressure tonight and really stepped up in the last quarter!

But FFS if you are within 40m and have space in front of you kick the goal, don’t be cute with little 15m passes. Needs to get a bit mor selfish in front of goals
Lost his confidence with his offensive game. Wouldn't actually hurt him to play a bit of VFL this year to get among the goals. That said I thought he had some really important moments in the last.

Thought he was excellent today. Great pressure.

Not enough love around here for the kid. He's truly one of our own, and for mine, his return to form is more about the unrelenting courage and effort he puts into the contest than it is about decision making at this point. That part will come. He may not be the type that's cut out for polish, but his ability to consistently throw himself in there and affect the outcome of a contest in a positive way for us is something to be held and valued. He did some great things for us today. Was very proud of him.

Indeed Sop. He's a tone setter for the manic pressure we seek from our smaller forwards and the emphasis on negating BBB is providing multiple opportunities for he and his kind, also quelling the opposition defence's flow out of our forward line. In previous years we'd provide the oppo an armed escort. With Sugar and co buzzing about now we shoot first and ask questions later, making us a far more damaging side.

what the hell has happened to this blokes goalkicking, he seems devoid of all confidence , missing easy set shots and passing off at any opportunity,

i love the way Sugar goes about it but this crap needs to be addressed or he will and up with a yip period like LT had a while back.

Arguably the hardest pound for pound player in the comp and an automatic selection.

Folks simply don't understand what he brings to the team.

Not sure what to make of him at the moment. On a night where a lot of players were missing shots and field kicks his miss can be forgiven I guess. Yeah, gutsy as hell but a few more goals on the board would be welcome
