) and you can see the exact moment he went down. The cameras left him quickly so it wasnāt obvious. With 4 mins left in the clock he was desperately chasing down a Freo player on their 50 and he looked buggered as he lunged. A fatigued over-stretch would suggest a spell on the sidelines sadly
Awareness of a hamstring injury and will miss 3-4 weeks. He has awareness.

Hope not. Move Durham and Martin to the wings. Play Cox on a flank . Play Hobbs or Setterfield in the midfield. Let Tsatas keep developing in the VFL.So if Duursma is out does that mean we bring in Tsatas or Setterfield to play on the wing?
He'll be back in time for the prelim.Out for rest of the season.
Nooooooo
Let's face it. This injury is enough to plant the seed of doubt about Duurs' durability.
Quad
PCL
Knee ligament
Hamstring
Neck
Shoulder
Concussion
Collar bone
These are just the ones I've found.
I don't imagine he gets through next season without something serious again.
Yep. Another for me, please.
So, Cox is not a defender, or a wingman, or a forwardā¦Good first season with the club.
We may have found two wingers in duursma and roberts.
Martin has to play forward of centre I reckon and not on the wing.
Cox and jones should not be played on the wing again.
Just in time to lose the elimination final.3-4 weeks
I doubt heāll physically develop within 2 years. Maybe when heās 26-27.So, Cox is not a defender, or a wingman, or a forwardā¦
I still think Cox can be a dominant wingman with a year or two more maturity. Heās shown glimpses in that role so all he needs is to have the physical development and the consistency. These are things that can come in your mid 20s when youāre 200cm. Youāre basing your expectation on mid-sized wingmen.
So, evidently I think Cox should be played in the wing again.
came in to post this as wellGood first season with the club.
Was almost the most important player structurally in the early part of season, we haven't had a Langdon type winger for so long. A guy who just naturally knows to maintain his width, not get sucked in to contest, wins the loose ball contests on the wings, tracks back help out in D and bobs up inside f50 to kick goals.came in to post this as well
think his ability to work up and down the ground may be a little under appreciated as he often sprung up as an outlet kick from D50 only to deliver the ball inside 50 in the same chain of events.
Was even better than I thought through the first half of the season. Will come back bigger and better in 2025
the exciting thing with these wingers is they look to be able to role forward &/or back providing more running power across the best 22 (23)Was almost the most important player structurally in the early part of season, we haven't had a Langdon type winger for so long. And to think we just got him out of pure luck with BZT trade, not that we actively pursued this type of player.
Disappointingly we decided to move him around in backhalf of year to accommodate jones/cox.
Would like to see him/roberts/martin covering the wings next year.

might need to add a +Not bad for a C grade![]()
Great reference in Langdon. Thought it was an astute pick up by Melbourne at the time but no idea how good or important heād be to their premiership. Was almost the most important player structurally in the early part of season, we haven't had a Langdon type winger for so long. Might need to revise how he runs like how he has had to stop flying back into packs and was knocking himself out. Dangerfield has problems with his hammies when he lunges for tackles and Xavier tore his the same way. Thought he was done after watching him in the finals last year but really enjoyed watching him this year when on the park with his running power, competitiveness and goal kicking. Club needs a solid protocol to protect him from soft tissue problems going forward.Become one of my fav players quickly. Heās a very good player.
Gives his all.
