Strange that Port were willing to let him leave. Absolutely fleeced Port in that trade. Bloke’s work rate & form is seriously underrated by the footy media.
what we wouldn't do for BZT right now though...

My god, this bloke just works. He works and works and works, never taking a backward step, and he’s willing to put his body on the line time and time again if that’s what the team needs. There’s something relentless about him, something almost unshakable.

Alongside players like Archie Roberts, he represents the future. These are the kinds of leaders who are going to drag this club out of the mire and into a new era of success, not just with their talent, but with their sheer will.

I just hope his body holds up, because what he gives every single week is nothing short of immense.
I’m honestly blown away by everything he brings to this team, to this club.

I never thought I'd say this about him but truly he’s the kind of player you build a foundation around.

He's pretty much a taller Brayden Ham after a few steak dinners

Unfortunately an appalling final kick that cost Redman a set shot at goal and us a chance to win it.

You’ve simply got to hit the target over 20m from a free kick. Absolute shocker.
That is his issue. Works hard up and back and often saves us in the back half but he is prone to having 3 or 4 poor skill errors by foot most weeks. Stops him from being that A grade performer we would like.

Can’t remember Ham taking many courageous marks, working up and down the ground, putting his body on the line like this guy. Does occasionally have the bad kick like last night but you couldn’t wider of the mark

Was mostly in jest but we often say "Essendon fans overrate their own players" and for me, Duursma is one of those guys.

Ham worked well both ways despite limitations on kicking and physicality. Duursma is better don't get me wrong, but his poor disposal and awareness let him down.
