How greedy were South Africa?

Surely they could have declared an hour earlier to give themselves an extra 10-15 overs at the Windies.

God i hope the Windies can bat the final day out.

Isn't it day 4 tonight?

****, assumed it coming into day 5 given how quickly the South Africans attempted to score late in the day.

Herschelle's alright.

Crap for brains, smokes dope and takes bribes. Although number 2 is up for grabs, sounds just like a suspended-fithy-ho-text-messaging-leg-spinner turned Channel 9-commentator, true?

If he doesn't give his wicket away, he'll bat for 2 days straight.

So you're saying that Pollock and Ntini aren't good enough to dismiss him? Interesting.

Is it just me or does shaun pollock's bowling get slower every year?

Remarkably similar to Glenn McGrath.

Both prove that pace is irrelevant.

Its irrelevent if you have great control as those two do. If you have Lee like control bowling at pollocks pace 125-130kmh then you will take some serious stick.

Imagine Thommo with perfect control, I reckon he would've literally kill a few people by now

108.6 Ntini to Chanderpaul, OUT: pulled straight to Mckenzie taking a great catch

West Indies 317/9, Partnership of 46
S Chanderpaul c McKenzie b Ntini 109 (171b 20x4 1x6)

And with that, Ntini takes his 58th test wicket for 2003, pulls one clear of SCG MacGill, and claims #1 spot for most test wickets this year. Good effort.

good.

All credit to Ramnaresh Sarwan who copped an Ntini bouncer right on the noggin & stayed in despite being visibly shaken. He went on to get a century. It was a shame that he didn't get a bit more support from Lara who was "The corpse with pads" at the other end.

Chanderpaul got a ton also but the rest went pretty meekly.

Well done to South Africa.

Thank goodness.

BTW,why wasn't Greame Smith fielding last night ?
It's not been a good week for captains.
