It was dreadful. I thought we played some great attacking footy and to lose the game was just awful. You're 8 points up inside the last 4 minutes and as a Crows fan knowing your recent history in tight games I was never confident particularly at the venue and time of day played - who cares if its red or away uniforms because both our away strips suck big time. All of a sudden you're trailing by 10 points. But it was a great game and its hard to understand why we lost and I think one of the reasons is we could not get our hands on the ball when we needed to run out some clock. Yes I tipped the Bulldogs to win by 6 (because I was hoping for something different), but I had 3 points in my mind all summer long saying that we were going to find a way to lose by 3 points. But I liked what I saw from the guys actually, they played better more attacking footy than last season's disaster but the Doggy Styles also played with similar intensity. Ben Hudson smashed us in the ruck and Scott Welsh ripped us apart big time and that was the most awful thing plus Huddo should have been called for holding the ball and I think we would have won easily if Hudson and Welsh in the Adelaide lineup and its not their fault they left, it was last year's disaster. Bock missed the last shot and he would have nailed it if he was playing for Collingwood or someone like that. Sucks big time we always find a way to lose and next time lose by 30 points, 150 to 120. We haven't won by 3 points or less since R17 2002 so yeah very frustrating and its the longest drought, 11 straight losses by 3 points or less. There is alot to play for next week because we haven't beaten the Eagles at home since 2003 and have lost the last 4 by 11,2,10 and 23 points. I'll be there at the game next weekend and we need to win these next two home games. These are huge games, season defining games because we need to make the top 4 to prove everyone wrong.
Congrats to Brad Johnson for his 300th game milestone.
