Having struggled to get on the park this year, Goater has jetted off to Aspetar, a sports medical clinic in Doha, Qatar.

"He's with club physio Liam Phillips undergoing an intensive week of assessment, testing and education led by renowned practitioner Dr Enda King and his team," White said.

"This expedition will look at enhancing our approach to programming for Josh in search of greater durability and robustness moving into the new campaign."

We couldnt send him to Europe instead?

**** me he cant take a trick can he. Now hes caught up with a bunch of racist Zionists trying to kill him.

Been a number of players head there for rehab. Good idea from the club.

What do you mean? Only Cerra, De Goey, Sean Darcy, Heath Chapman, Jiath, Gibcus, 3 * players and 3 West Coast players have gone to Qater for treatment across the last 2 seasons. Surely North Melbourne/Australia have the best specialists on a global scale

Good to see he's giving himself every chance to make something of his football career.

Let's see if any of his team mates follow suit & make the sacrifices required to go to the next level.
I didn't realise they had intensive training programs in Bora Bora, Tuscany and Tenerife...

I don't disagree. But having a club physio escort a player to a world leading rehabilitation and sports science clinic used by some of the worlds leading athletes from the worlds biggest sporting organisation isn't one of them.
the thing about where we are is that anger at it becomes indiscriminate.

Hopefully what ever we are doing works.

I'd think it is against the odds but who knows. I thought Robbie Tarrant was gone and then he played his absolute best football for a few years.

Yes but seeking external assistance from the best in the field is a step (or two) in the correct direction. The club realises the importance of getting Goater's issue. He could be our Weddle if he starts to build into it next season. But a last roll of the dice you'd think with Goater.

If it adds to the fuel and justifies his trip - I saw him chaperone his partner at a recent run event, he was wearing shorts and ****kkkk me, the poor guys calves were non-existent. So long post injury I thought was strange.
He’s got the springy hyper athletic build that unfortunately means you look like you have no calves.

It’s actually an elongated Achilles tendon that gives you that explosive leap, if you look at high jumpers and NBA players, they all look like they have chicken legs.

Unfortunately for Josh that also means an increased chance of injuring your Achilles as we’ve seen.

I’m not going to dismiss the importance of calf strength for any athlete but the often over looked area of weakness is toe ( particularly big toe) and the numerous intrinsic foot muscles.

I know we seem amateurish in a lot of ways but surely we are on top of this.

I feel he is going to come out of the blocks flying...

Exactly the type he could become
