On the highlights his handball was a tad sloppy and does he have a right foot ?
His movement through traffic looks very impressive.

Given how quickly he has risen in the junior levels and his obvious athletic qualities (and already decent size), it’s worth considering whether he might do the same at the next level. Could be a surprise next year.

Sloppy? He found his marks and delivered beautifully at the right moments. Unlike lots of useless handballers who deliver to a player to be tackled, he seems to handball into space and waits till the best moment. The run through the 2 players and deciding to handball after taking the first one on and delivering between the 2 defenders was brilliant. That was pure rugby drawing the man. The handball doesnt have to look classic and totally crisp. It just has to reach its target to advantage. I love what he does sizing up his options and loved the handballing in that clip

I agree that he has to keep working on his handball & bouncing the ball on the run, BUT for a kid who's only been playing the game for 12 months he's super exciting.

He is super exciting. I actually liked the way he seemed to throw the ball further away from himself on his bounces instead of closer to his body. It was quite noticeable that he allows himself to move quicker with that rather unique bouncing style(almost like out on a loop)that seems to gain him more ground and allows him to get away from his opponent quicker. Its very evasive

Can confirm after viewing the highlight reel he has 2 feet.

You took me the wrong way as there will be natural improvement . As the draft got closer he and King were what i wanted.
Just want to know whether he has a other side , not like the Rampe's , Campbells , Blakey and McVeighs

His literal disposal isn't crisp and that seems to be the influence of having come from a background of passing rugby style. But the way he delays his disposal until he has drawn his opponent in, and his awareness of what's going on around simultaneously is outstanding, as is his follow up. Plenty to be excited about.

Not surprised he doesn't have two good feet given the rugby and basketball background. I'll be happy if he has one good foot.

Im really looking forward to seeing the impact that he has on Blakey

Think Kyle could get him into a buckload more space just with his ability to draw in the extra defender and place that attacking handball

I wasn't really sold until the triple effort run down tackle that finished at around the 0:50 mark

His lateral moving style and ability to draw in opponents is why I think he'll fit in like a glove - it's a style that is built to take the game on and find the outlet. Compare that to say Carmichael who's game is built purely on setting up from a standing start.

Plus he looks to have the foundations of a good turn of speed to accelerate away from the contest. He will be an absolute jet take it to the bank.

Not saying he can't improve, but it is something he needs to work on, and it isn't easy either as both Rohan and Campbell had similiar issues, both high impact players who didn't find the ball enough, and in their cases they never really figured out how to find the ball more. I hope Kyle is not like them in that sense.

Campbell and Rohan also had years more development than Kyle.

Absolute SCENES in Sydney tonight! Harry is under there somewhere

Can we get more of his rugby mates involved in the Academy. There seem to be a lot there. Maybe one or 2 are young enough to still get Academy time. Does he come from a private school background. I wonder if him getting selected will inspire some more interest in an Afl career from that particular Gps? schools alumni.
