Does move like Callaghan.. something just a little bit like him would be a big win
A bit has been said about the way he draws a player like a league or union player, and there is something in that. When you dummy and then pass the ball in league, your body leans away from the direction in which you are passing (I think because of natural mechanics) but when you handball you are not having to exert the effort in the same direction, therefore a footy player tends to lean toward the direction in which they are handballing.

When watching Kyle, he leans away from the direction he is handballing, which seems to wrong-foot his opponent - maybe because they aren't used to it. I'm not sure how that would impact his accuracy or distance with his handball, but it sure works well for giving a false indicator of what he is about to do.

I've seen Wicks do that leaning away thing. He just compensates for the body positioning.

Potential nickname time of the year for the new recruits. By all accounts young Harry is light on his feet and possesses great evasive skills. He is therefore able to extricate himself with aplomb from tight spaces.

Welcome to the Swans, Houdini.

Anyone know what his ball use is like by foot?

Big lad already at 188cm
I went back and read the draft notes and watched his highlights video. Great handballer, smart, moves so well and has so much time. Sweet left foot

Gerard Healy was pumping him up on SEN last night
Think they will go with the experience of Bice and Roberts over Kyle but he is definitely close to breaking into the defensive 7/8 that we will bring into games in 2026

Based on...??

He's still discovering what shape a football is. There's no way he's just about to break into the seniors.

There was a lot of hype around him in the early stages of pre-season, to the point Lachlan McKirdy was suggesting he was a real chance at a senior spot. That hype has faded somewhat since the match sims started to pick up.

That tells me that Kyle has got impressive skills & athleticism that is showing in the drills and such, but not yet the game sense (and possible fitness?) to apply it in actual match situations yet.

Well its mostly because there aren't many non-tall defenders that are behind him. One or both of Bice and Roberts should play but if one of them gets injured before Cunningham and Bowman become available then Kyle might need to be called upon or maybe they revert Lloyd back to half back before bringing Kyle in but he isn't that far off of it due to the injuries.

Yes once Cunners and Bowman are available he will naturally fall back to 3rd-4th in line off the half back flank but he isn't that far off a debut.

That's my take as well. He has a good chance of making it but let's tamper expectations a bit and let him learn the game first.
