Weekend Wrap and "Liked, Learned, Hated" right here -- How did tipping go?

He could very well be in the midfield after another pre-season or two.
That's pretty much the usual for players on debut. The pace of the game takes a while to get into.Took him quite a while to get a touch, but showed some really positive signs in the second half. Great HTB tackle, and lovely kick late to Heens.
There is a lot to work with there - he is very raw, and may only get a game or two more this season, but you can absolutely see why the club is pretty excited about his potential.
Kinnear Beaston once talked about watching A VFL match and the incredible speed and intensity it went at, but once the AFL game started after, the level was like going from go-karts to F1.That's pretty much the usual for players on debut. The pace of the game takes a while to get into.

Yep absolutely - looked lost early on, but was really pleased how he kept on and got stuck in later on. Hope he gets another game next week (depending on injuries etc more broadly. That's pretty much the usual for players on debut. The pace of the game takes a while to get into.
I had some concerns. The longer it went the better he got
I think he could be a big bodied mid.
I should have written to the swans in the late 90s asking for a game, sure they'd have said heck off but still
From what I could see, they looked pleasantly rowdy. Knowing 18 yo's on the drink, I'm sure the language was colourful and maybe the odd drink being spilt and splashing on other patrons. I've been confronted with this situation with young kids in tow and have tolerated it (my kids actually always found it a bit amusing) but can see how other supporters might feel uncomfortable. It did appear they were warned several times prior to being booted. How intoxicated do you have to be to get kicked out?

Heeney can't go on forever. Maybe, just maybe, this kid is the heir??
Pretty hard to get totalled on mid strength but if you have loaded up prior to the game....Exactly how many kid strength things do you have to buy as well? I shudder at that thought.
Thought Kyle was very good keep him in
If Melican is out I don't know if Kyle will be the best matchup for Marshall/Keeler but maybe they will give him the extra game and just bring back Mills if fitPretty hard to get totalled on mid strength but if you have loaded up prior to the game....
Kyle went well especially the second half and it gives him a chance to get a taste of AFL. See who's available next week he might get another game.
We have saints not dees so all goodIf Melican is out I don't know if Kyle will be the best matchup for Mihocek but maybe they will give him the extra game and just bring back Mills if fit
Welp Saints are even taller in attack, Sharman, Marshall and Keeler. Don't think you can give him the chance on their lead forward in Sharman and don't think he has the ability to play ultra tall on a ruck/fwd of Marshall or Keeler. We have saints not dees so all good

If Mills is back who are you dropping from that backline to fit him in?I’d play him regardless next week but it is tight for spots.

I think if Mills has even the slightest "awareness" he wont play.If Mills is back who are you dropping from that backline to fit him in?

His role in Heeney's last goal would have been exactly what the club hoped for. Gather the loose ball, quick handball off, takes off beside the receiver, runs with, then past, at speed and nails the pass to advantage. Fits perfectly into the game plan. Heaps to learn but a super promising start.Looks like the type that just thrives when he has to play at the highest level but tbh he wasn’t lighting it up in the VFL.
Aliir was very much like that. Average in the reserves but then got a surprise call up to seniors and looked like he was at home.
