Kangalotto haircut (I’m assuming) does not help the optics in terms of his skinny frame!

Are we still doing that sh/t? Tell me we’ve grown up as a club past that.

Lol I didn't even consider that. Haven't seen the kangalotto shit for ages, I was hoping we'd dropped that crap.

Would be fitting, we've had Paul Wynd, Damian Houlihan, Michael Ablett, Brent Lecras, Sam Power, Cruize Garlett, Joel Tippett, Mitchell Hibberd, Sam Durdin, Ben McKay and of course Brad Scott.

Who are the brothers of Garlett, Hibberd and Durdin in the AFL?

Simon, Dr and Corey.
Jeff and Cruize Garlett may be cousins I think, but they're not bros. Were born in the same year.
Mitch Hibberd was from Tassie, while Michael was from the Peninsula. Also not Brothers.
Even though Corey and Sam Durdin are both from SA, they're not brothers either.

Good point about the rest though, we've had a lot of the dud brothers. In the case of Boomer and Shane we had both

You don't normally need to stick them in the senior team twice to work that out though.
I have a bit of a tinfoil theory that we wanted him in for the W to not have it hanging over his head.

We knew before the game as much as we know now. But Whitlock has played x games for no victories is off the table.

Not a bad theory.

In pure football terms he'd already had his blooding game just to experience AFL pace.

If we had a "spare" spot I'd have opted to give a similar zero expectation blooding game to Goad.

Experiencing a win for him is a good thing all the same and was genuinely happy when he kicked his goal.

I am one of those that haven't been impressed by this trade, but today I feel a little better about it.
He's moving to the forward line.

Not a fan of this personally.

In the Coates League/champs and his best VFL form has all been in defence. Looks a natural defender with composure and aerial presence.

Either way, hopefully it means they’ll stop throwing him and Will Dawson around and they’ll let them settle at either end of the ground.

Rather they do it early to see what he has to offer there.

Well , you hit the answer in your last sentence and how we planning on playing Logue, Corr, Pink, Comben, W Dawson & Whitlock.

And up forward having Larks and a just starting out Trembath. I like it and if we're spending pick #3 I want bang for buck. I think his ability to cover ground should see him becoming an option for our fav dump kick up the line. And still retaining marking options in the forward line. If we can find an outlet for the dump kick, we're half a chance, the turn over in no mans land is killing us. If we can even neutralise that contest and reset, we're much better off.

Does balance the list a little more if Whitlock is earmarked as a key forward and W.Dawson a key defender.

I think it’ll take longer for Whitlock to find his role as a forward, but he has more than enough tools to be damaging up there. Particularly with his skill, marking and ground level ability

Dinkers is al clarko....

Well the cats out of the bag, finally it feels like the weight of the world is off my shoulders.

We will be going small up forward and down back next year, it is a winter sport and my personal meteorologist has tipped a wet winter ahead.

Small guys don't get taller once the rain sets in. Out smarting them all yet again.

You're 177cm? That's practically an average sized midfielder in the late 80s. "Dinkers" - pfft.
