There's something about the way he curves the ball in hand before it hits the boot that gives him that extra space to dispose of it on the run.

Just a great debut as a sub and has a lot of nimbleness and energy about it. Lifted the team the moment he came in. Almost picked the ball up with one hand too.

Jeez his run and dare was exactly what we lack at times. Played 1 qtr of footy for us and I already trust his run & willingness to take the game on more than a lot of his more experienced teammates (cough McGrath cough)

Give him an extended run off half back/wing and see what he can do

Great last quarter. Willing to put the dodgy kicks down to nerves and give him an extended run.

The solution and answer to lack of energy is always young talent, being at the ground, it felt like a funeral for 3 quarters, it was dead, that 1 play changed the entire night, the crowd got loud and the players lifted.

If Shiel/Redman made that exact play, it doesn't have the same impact I think.

Saads dad is a classic.

"i love you more than my wife!"

Mans playing with absolute fire.

Small sample size but is exactly what we need on a wing instead of Harry Jones. In starting 18 next game for me.

nah **** it

he's the best Saad to ever play for us

Think wing looks his natural position. When he has played half back he runs around in circles a bit. When he plays wing it is turn on the jets and head towards the goals.

having a defensive winger on the opposite side helps this type of play (Duursma for those of you playing at home)

Very exciting debut. Would have preferred he start on the ground, but at least he got on. Should start next game though (I think we have the bye next week).

Apparently they're allowed food if it's for their work
I'm Muslim so I can answer that. What's excused is generally health/wellbeing or travel related and not work related. For example, if the game was held in Adelaide and he travelled on Wednesday, then he wouldn't have been required to fast yesterday because he'd be a traveller.

Other than that, we'd fast unless the person has a health or wellbeing related reason.
E.g. a high fever, needing an asthma pump because of an asthma attack, a diabetic needing to maintain blood sugar levels, elderly that cannot bear fasting, pregnancy etc. It's circumstantial.

Besides, it's not really that difficult for us to work/exercise while fasting because we've been fasting since we were children.

150 metres gained in a quarter of football is a fair amount of travel?

It moves because it’s based on a lunar calendar. Sometimes it’s in September, feels unusual to have it coincide with Lent.

Luckily it moves backwards so he'll be retired by the next time it impacts finals. Next year will be the last time it will be happening during the season until 2039.
