Had a soft spot for this guy, for some reason, and am a bit sad that his career is potentially done.

Served his purpose, in my view.

He added a scoring avenue at a time when it was far from clear how we were going to score. I feel like his ability to convert was instrumental in a few wins but it might have been keeping us in some close losses (I didn't see the close wins when I looked it up).

In reality he is a small but very strong old fashioned full forward. He doesn't have the mobility and doesn't provide the aerial threat that we ought to persist with him any longer.

I'd much rather see Voss, Jones, Weidemann, Stewart, Tex, Menzie, Davey and Davey get a go as a tall or small in any team next year. Much better for the balance of the team.

He even got a gig on ball at the lower level. He got every opportunity as far as I can see.

If you're a good team but lack a little fire power and have list spot you don't know what to do with, you could do worse.
