How much more evidence do we need to realize if we are playing him its up the ground?
What you talking about Willis?
Are you saying he was good further up the ground or shit again down back?

23 disposals, 3 forward of centre, 9 of the 20 disposals in the back half were inside d50, 3 from kick-ins. He started forward but definitely started back after half time. 1 tackle, 1 contested possession, 4 pressure acts, not that I’m debating how good a game he played. Apparently the general consensus is he’s playing well.

Also, I refuse to watch last weeks game. What position did he play and how on earth did he manage 11 tackles?

It’s a shame that we are ten years into a rebuild and we don’t have enough depth to push Daniel out.
If you think one of our biggest problems is having a guy that's had 23 disposal at 83% DE and has actually had a good start to the year, then I think you're just biased and very anti-CD, and most probably driven by his trade cost.

His trade cost was stupid, but that isn’t what’s driving my anti CD stance. It’s purely the fact that the game as gone past players like him, if you are forward/wing you need speed. If you are in defence you need to be able to gain meters and hit targets, not to mention be accountable and actually defend. There is a big big reason why Parker and Blamires have taken his spot in the back half.

He was neat last night, but if we are going to push up the ladder we need to be better than that and while his DE% was good. He still had 2 momentum sapping turnovers that cost us shots on goal.

Stats don’t tell the full story when it comes to CD, stats don’t highlight poor accountability and a complete lack of defensive transition because he is so slow.

Considering a high % of his possessions are kicks, and he’s the designated risk taker, that DE % is impressive.

We need better stats. 1 successful backwards handball to a stationary target is the same DE % as a 45m diagonal kick into the middle between 4 defenders.
This should be known as the Brady Rawlings fallacy.

From where I was sitting, I think almost all of players did last night. If you're going to call out CD, why not call out Colby, PC, FOS, Dov, Larkey, X, Powell, Jy, Stephens etc etc. I could go on.

I’ve called out plenty of them for turnovers and decision making. I’m not one eyed only critical of CD.

Go to the Simpkin or Zurhaar thread. I’ve been equally critical of their dog shit decision making and defensive effort this year and last year.

He played mostly front half but also went back a few times last night. I like him because he's a busy player that tries to make things happen whenever everyone else has run out of ideas. He's not super dangerous but productive. His downside is that the opposition can take advantage of his size. I suppose that is harder to do when hes being moved around more. Which I think is what we've seen in the last couple of weeks.

Ok but even the non-whipping boys like X and Colby for example had **** ups to last night. Only fair to call that out too if people are going to be critical of one or 2 CD turnovers.
