Watch Surjan play on Saturday he was very very good, cant understand why he can't get a game with the power. He pulls out of nothing, this is what the power is missing, a hard nut and his leadership.

Why would Surjan want to stay at Port

Surjan is not getting a game cos I believe he tried out for Fremantle over the Xmas break and they told him he had to get fit and then they would look at him. Primus found out so he is out of the team. This is I thought was now common knowledge.

The one for me is when the ball is bouncing around with no one in possession and there are 2 of our players and 2 opposition players in pursuit. An opposition player gathers the ball first and both our players run to the ball winner leaving the other player free to accept the handball and run off into the sunset.

Whilst I agree that Lower has played a couple of good games this season, if you guys didn't have so many injuries there is no way he would be getting a game

That's a leap. He's proven capable of 25+ disposal/multiple tackle games and even bobs up for a goal in his first AFL season deployed in his preferred position as a fulltime midfielder while bedding in at a new club in a new state to boot.

Instead of giving him similar opportunities, we preferred re-recruiting Josh Carr and picking guys like Jason Davenport, Jay Nash and Scott Harding.

Hypotheticals aside, Lower's had the last laugh and the joke's on us. We've done exactly what Freo used to do in these situations.

Yeah, Nick Lower is definitely best 22 at Freo now. Go us for persisting with him! There's a few players on our list currently that I can see coming back and biting us square on the butt as well, Salter being one.

You can almost sum up our club's list management fails with one of those Who am I? questions from Sale of the Century.

First name Nick, I was drafted to the Port Adelaide Power. Despite dominating the SANFL in my preferred position, I was typecast as a medium defender by the Power for no particular reason. I was never good enough at that role and could never consistently break into the side as a result of being played out of position ...

Could be either of Lower or Salter at this point. This is where Salter is now, and this is where Lower was two years ago. Now let's see what happens when we continue the story:

... and was delisted by the Power due to never being able to find form. I was then given a second chance by another AFL club, and proved that I was a capable and valuable AFL footballer when played in my preferred position.

History is doomed to repeat itself here. Lol at Port not learning from their stupid, stupid mistakes.

Nick Lower will not be in Freo's 22 this time next year (barring injurys of course)
