some of his work last night was absolute class, that left footed snap was so composed i never felt like he was going to miss

Pretty certain he was a decent soccer player as a junior.

He was doing some funky little moves with the ball during last nights warm up - scooping it up with his foot and bouncing it on his foot. Fair effort with a footy

Mate I saw Brando and Tigger bouncing the ball in the centre like the umps do, then McIntosh and Conca throwing the ball to eachother like the NFL. Their pre warmup routine is a pisser

Played a great game, has that premiership confidence about him

I reckon he seems to have stepped up form last year. Looked confident and sure that he was a quality player. Last year he seemed more to rely on working harder, and running faster. Last night he seemed to be sure he could do some magic on cue. He looked more than a role player. If he can keep that quality up he'll be pushing for that A grade status.

very influential too. that and the booonana from the boundary were both half chances that the average gypper probably would have missed, but he made them like a champ and it arguably kept us in the game

Love how Butler isn't afraid to take the game on through the middle of ground and burn other players off with his pace. Some of the goals he kicks are top class.

Personally thought he'd been pretty average this year. Often runs himself into trouble and his awareness seems to disappear at times. That being said thought last night was his best game for the Year to date.

Found some form last two weeks being the main small target. Kicking goals and finding the ball.

His goal assists and pressure have been surprisingly consistent given his patchy form.

For a fast bloke he gets caught a lot and doesn't seem to look like he's going full tilt often enough IMO.

Yeah no idea what he was doing when he got knocked off the ball by Saad on the wing, was jogging towards the ball.
