Harley tried to line him up, bounced off, Faull flicks out and gets smashed again and just keeps going.

When he adds another 5-7kgs, he is going to eb dangerous.

No realignment needed.Kicked clutch goals as a Junior.
The only difference is the speed of the game at afl level.
2 more pre seasons he'll have that sorted.

I get the 'gassed' argument, but just watch his routine for kicking inside 50 and outside 50, in particular where his leg follows through to, it's completely different. Those misses from inside 50 could well be put down to being gassed.

As a sport as a whole at this level some of the misses are embarrassing.
You'd get sacked in the NFL.
Fatigue/techniques/In between the ears can be attributed too it all.
But since the fitness gurus have put a no no on xtra practice.Shots for goal has gone downhill.

Understand what you're saying, but using the poor state of goal kicking in the AFL as a generalisation to explain Jonty's misses is disingenuous and weak to say the least.

Most of his shots that he's missed have come from outside 50, something that you highlighted in a previous post of mine. Most AFL players wouldn't even attempt some of the shots that he's taken on and the only reason that he has a crack is because he has the hoof to do it. Those misses can be coached to where he has a much higher probability of nailing them.

, but he's technically sound enough to be reasonable long term. I think once he gets more confidence at the level and more used to the demands it will start to click. Half of the misses would be from him being buggered, the other half would be from a lack of confidence, both those things will improve in years to come. Once he strings together a few games of accurate kicking in a row he'll be off to the races.

He can also roost it a mile, so there will naturally be a few shots from 55+ that might bring down his average overall, but that other players would never have even been in a position to attempt.

Known fact that goalkicking practice is alot less practiced than decades gone by.
But anyway i have no issue with jonty atm.Hes a young colt.
Everything will settle with experience

This weeks rising star is Ashton Moir who has played 4 games in 2025 and managed to stand out in one game by kicking 4 goals. Jonty has averaged better numbers in his 14 games in just about every key stat.

Very deserving of a big fat "C'MON MAN?"
