How is Gertsman the FF ahead of Handley from Xavs.......?

He is running off his reputation from 3 years ago.. He is good, no doubt, but Handley is a hell of a lot better and more chance of kicking 10 than Gerta is.

Handley is also a potential draftee and should be given the opportunity.

Poor form VAFA selectors.

I agree with Brian, they feed 'em well at Pine Lodge and the big stocky bodies will be good in the freezing cold and wet track at Ballarat (Unlucky).

I'm surprised the VAFA selectors haven't called on Denver Artz (Hampton Rovers) from obscurity for the rep game. He was a rep game specialist who rarely got a kick for his club in C Grade. Big game player you would say.

Surprised that Murray Pitts isn't in either.

Now I actually reckon it's a good side and I have been a critic of Vic selection over the last few years. The powers that be are to be congratulated for getting some of the players listed to show up. But the VCFL is a powerful beast so I hope we put up a good show.

Not sure about the point of the Under 23 team now. Just seems like an excuse for a junket. But another loss to SA would be a calamity for the VAFA.

Gertsman now, even though he is past his prime is still a far better full forward than Handley ever will be. Humphrey B Bear could kick 4-6 each week at FF for Xavs with the supply from their midfield. Gerta gets his goals in a losing side with limited opportunity, also he is a much better bloke.

Petrov, you disappoint me. Some of your sticking up for OH posts seemed to come from a well balanced man. Agree Big G is a ripping bloke, however Handley is a gun. Remember gents, he is a youngy and is representing the big VAFA this weekend, it just happens to be in Adelaide in the unders game.

F 07, The guy can play, won the B section goalkicking last year with 68, this year he is leading again with 43 playing in a side that has won only 2 games, so he's going all right

I have seen him play numerous time, majority of these games against the more strongter clubs in b sect (st bedes, O.G). Perhaps he just shines against the weaker teams as he certainly is no stand out against the stronger clubs.
