GTL baby. Gym, tan, laundry. I'm tight.

Somewhat off-topic, but I've never really understood the Jersey Shore guys put "laundry" in their "mantra", as though they're somehow going above and beyond usual practice by simply washing their clothes. Then again, they are total dipsticks who deserve to be laughed at for their appalling taste and all-round idiocy, so I suppose it makes sense in the end.

Sartorial throw down? Oh hello......

Lulz, never thought I'd see the word "sartorial" used on BigFooty :D:thumbsu:

If you don't have a perfectly flat stomach, the open shirt makes it very obvious. A large number of guys who try it really should be wearing something more flattering.
and for the chico/mexican look, wear a singlet underneath and chains.

prefer 75% of buttons done up with complimentary tee underneath.

there are several problems with the all open look - the most obvious of which has been highlighted already.

Nothing funnier than reading posts from a bunch of guys talking about getting all dressed up for their 'big night out on the town'.

Hilarious

You wear what you like/comfortable in. Simple as that.

I'm not going to wear wog tappers and a shirt to a pub ffs just to look good. I'll wear a tee with my chucks (and jeans).

IF the ocassion calls me for to wear something more dressy, I'll throw a shirt on with perhaps a pullover vest and wear the tappers.

What is the point of dressing up if you go to the shops? You're there to shop, not to win a fashion contest.

On the other hand I may physically feel comfortable going to the shops in trackies and a hoody, but I would emotionally feel like yet another drop kick who can't take pride in his appearance.

Hence my strict no trackies in public rule, with the exceptions being exercise/sport games/going to the gym.

In regards to the OP... I see what you're saying but I think the confusion is that womens fashion is of a higher 'quality' for lack of a better word, compared to men who don't have a great deal of range within what they are able to choose to wear "fashionably/style" for an evening out. Therefore, it;'s the acceptable norm these days (despite me thinking it's crap) that a guy with an expensive tshirt, tight jeans and canvas shoes can somehow be considered "dressed up".

This is undoubtedly the gheyest thread in BF history.

They're clothes. You wear them to avoid being arrested for indecent exposure, and to hide your erection when Bindi Irwin walks past*

to be honest, didn't know what cords were, had to look them up and while they look semi-alright they're not what I'm talking about, nor have I ever worn them.

the right colour slacks, I have a pair which I've titled 'gods pants' combined with the right shoes and plain tees/jumpers/whatever looks fine. there's a few colour combinations (plain clothing) that are tried, and tested and look perfect.
none of this dressed up jeans and colourful t-shirts with all sort of writing tagged across them crap. absolute hate that.

sadly about 95% of guys can't dress. it's really pathetic.
they either can't be bothered, can't colour combine, are cheap/not resourceful or are merely sheep following the most basic, umimaginative pathetic trend.

go the tight jeans, white shoes and heavily incribed, colourful t-shirts. looks so pathetic.

really don't care if the jeans and colourful t-shirt brigade come here to jump to their own defenses. you don't know how to dress, you just know how to go 'ba ba' and play it safe.

No homo?

Where's Drago when you need him?

Seriously though jeans have so many different styles and have evolved with trends through the years. Sure there are some tacky styles from the older days now but to say they are completely outdated is stupid. Shoes and shirts are far more important when it comes to your look.
