Congrats Ben Davies....nice game last night and showed promise in all his game this season. Has a ton of guts...runs to space really nicely and USES it well. I think he's gonna be a player.

Also Heath Shaw, Jase Cloke were good though I thought Egan was ordinary. Needs to stick a tackle!

Edit: just read other thread on Ben...can delete this

Benny Davies looks the goods. Last night he did everything right, he chased, he tackled, his disposal was fantastic, but most of all.. he ran hard all night and didn't stop trying.

Heath Shaw was ok, but I don't know about Egan. The way Egan is built is a real concern, with the light frame and skinny legs.

Built like Aaron Davey and Andrew Lovett you mean? You think Melbourne and Essendon are worried about their boys body sizes?

Egan will be a gun. Needs to bulk up, but not too much. Needs to ensure he doesnt sacrifice pace and agility when building up a bit of builk.

He needs to learn to make his tackles stick. A few times last night his tackles were shrugged off far to easily.

I am a big fan of his, however, already can see concern with his consistency. Do we have another Leon Davis?

Also seemed a bit slow last night....carrying an injury perhaps??

A kid in his first year, promoted at the last minute due to injury despite patchy form, in a game we are trying to lose, will look slow when he hasnt got the ball. Definitely needs to work on his fitness, his body, and his football skills over summer, but he's got all the attributes to make the grade.

He's a lot taller than Davis and more a midfielder, so not really comparable. But he can learn a lot from Leon in the skill department, just as long as he learns from Licuria about fitness, preparation, and tackling.

We have got some great young players in Davies, Heath Shaw and they played great last night. Eagan was a little dissappointing. Licua Played fantastic and the skipper contributed with a couple of nice goals as well.

I am not taking a swipe at Egan at all mate. I want him to be a very good footballer aswell. :)
