she was waiting about two days for someone to post it for her :D:D

Hmmm, I am yellow carded atm so I sent YOU a PM asking you to re-post this request from Ed here you didn't even reply and chose not to post it.That is OK.

I know for a fact that this forum is noticed by the Club and they see what we write in here, only problem is there is only a few that are recognised as "real people" using our real names. The rest of you are just strange user names to those reading this back at the Club, perhaps you should all think about that.

I suggested to Opti in the thread I started which Ed replied in that Opti re-post it here and he did. Maybe Opti is my puppet.

I second this!

This is a simple gesture to paying members that will go a long way to making us feel more a part of the club, even if it is only via cyber space.

I too have an issue for consideration... not so much as a request.

As I do many times a year, after a game I head back to the lexus to enjoy the post game fun. Players will often come out on the stage and have a chat for five then disappear into the rooms again.

Is there any harm in letting a few of the players hang out with the members for a while?

I unfortunately am too young to remember when players and members would interact socially. Nowadays they are at such an arms length, stimulating (in my opinion) false views on them... basically treating the like celebrities.

Alas I can afford my social club membership but as a student never have the $$ to make it to the Copeland or even club dinners where this might be a different situation

Like I said it's not so much of a request, rather I'm looking for the clubs insight on keeping the players at arms length from members.

Thanks Ed for reading this if you get a chance.

Floreat Pica!

Yes see, this is exactly the problem - all this onanism when they should be saving their vitality for the game.

Dear Eddie,

You do the McGuires proud. You are an ornament to your people and to the club.

I have a request on behalf of the BF Collingwood Buddy reporters. Can we have access to our respective players for a brief interview in 2009?

It could be arranged in the controlled and secure environment of the Lexus Centre - we would be frisked on entry, of course. We could submit questions in advance, with all the usual protocols in place. What could go wrong?

How could you possibly object?

King Eddie,

can we please have voting rights extended to all financial members of the club? (like other clubs do).

I feel that limiting rights to social club tier members is elitest and takes away from the working class values of the club. Alot of us cannot afford to buy social club memberships and feel slightly disenfranchised, 2nd class members when we do not have the same rights.

The current situation makes a mockery of our image as the club for the battlers and opens us to accusations that we have forgotten our roots and strayed from our values.

thank you

I strongly endorse this proposal, Eddie.:thumbsu:

One Member, One Vote - and if that doesn't stir something in your racial memory, ask your mother where she heard something like it before.

Like this idea. But I think it should be limited to members that buy packages that include actual home game tickets.

I don't think someone with a $75 Magpie Nest Membership should get the same voting rights as someone with a social club membership.

But thats just me (and I'm in Brisbane and have a Magpie Nest membership...)

Not in this life time

If these recent developments Re: Eddie MacGuire's willingness to firstly listen to (read in this case) and possibly respond to suggestions and or requests from Magpies board members are genuine then we should possibly have a "Letters to the Prez" Thread in the Magpies Nest. A mod would be required to sort the wheat from the chaff however as no doubt a lot of drivel would be posted.

Having spent a lot of time reading other forums (and not naming any or detracting from their members) the BF board is certainly one of he best.
Having a "voice" at the club would be extremely positive.

I'd like to see the Club recognise the two people responable for "saving" Victoria Park. Shane Barrie and Lesley Benham, who pretty much ALONE took the fight to keep Vic Park as a Viable at least VFL standard Football ground right up to the Yarra City Council.

Lesley is just the mouth piece of Neil
He does all the work and she takes all the credit.

Having said that, it was a good job well done.
I just wish Shane could put as much effort into 'today' as he does in 'yesterday'
