Interesting article re kicking efficiency in the HS today which highlights Liam Jurrah's fantastic skills by foot:
This year, Champion Data has employed two extra statisticians at each match to chart the "Hit Rate" - the percentage of kicks that hit targets taking into account the difficulty of the kick. Each kick is measured by five characteristics - distance, direction, intent, target zone and pressure.
This new measurement will complement the pure efficiency ratings.
Based on the first eight rounds, and with a sample of 194 players with 50 kicks or more, Melbourne's Liam Jurrah is rated as the best kick in the AFL this season.
That's no surprise to eight-time premiership player and coach Leigh Matthews, who rates Jurrah as having "as good a kicking action as you would ever see".

Made me feel slightly better after the debacle v St kilda
