I know who the little girl is here.

Why because i strayed from the flock & formed my own opinion??

I not saying the guy is not a good player he is Very Good...but his attitude & on court behaviour is Pathetic....He needs to grow up & learn not everything in life is gonna go your way!!

Totally agree Blues_Man I'm sick to death of people saying what a top bloke he is  He is nothing more than a spoilt little Brat. He yelled and argued every line call that didn't go his way last night when on the replays were spot on.

I love how gracious Safin was in Victory. He's just won a Grand Slam & all he does is wave his fist....I dare say the little ******** would have jumped around yelling & screaming like the little girl he is!!!

I must have been watching the wrong game "every line call that didn't go his way"

Once he lost it & went completely overboard & he paid for it.

Yes Safin was gracious in victory as most victors usually are but i haven't noticed any of the Lleyton Hewitt haters bringing up Safin repeatedly throwing his racket on the ground & once he came close to hitting a ball boy with his flying racket as well as arguing the point in Spanish with the umpire on more than one occasion.

There was nothing in last nights game that has not happened in countless grand slam tennis tournaments around the world for years & years & it's about time some people leave their petty jealousies & hates at home & get out & get a life.

Bloody pathetic some people.

Well said Noddy.

yep spot on. Just cause lleyton is a south aussie doesn’t mean everyone has to jump on board. His attitude borders on embarrassing half the time. And watching his acceptance speech tonight it at least seems Marat has a sense of humor, something which seems to allude little lleyton, unless hes winning of course.

Sometimes people write pure trash that is perplexing and just plain crap. This is one such example, christ only knows why I bothered even commenting on it. Hewitts speech was fine, Marats was fine, at least they failed to embarress themselves with little snipes, as per your post.

His big mouth got him into trouble. Had he not thrown a tantrum at the line judge after winning that point he was in the box seat to win that game and would have broken Safins back as well.

With the number of errors that have riddled this torney it is understandable that players get a bit frustrated and need to vent a bit; maybe he went a bit over; but the stakes were very high.

Trying to work out if you are jealous or pathetic. Get sick of people that like to belittle someone because they are sucessful. How about these little snipers bugger off. Maybe go achieve something at an elite level, see how you go.

Well said noddy; people are quick to critise behind the annomity of a message board.

Safin is playing inspired tennis!

Lleyton, as we all know has great come back and fighting ability but that don't been nothing if Safin doent give him a bite, at the moment he is just too good.

Safin did well, you dont beat Federer by accident :)

Safin was just too good, played some outstanding tennis, Lleyton did well but the better man won the day.

Spot on

Nothing to do with Leyton's over the top antics or the judges.

Safin just kept getting better and Leyton couldn't go with him. A good effort by both guys and their speeches were both very gracious.

They both have hot women as well.

They are probably unhappy underneath though. ;)

Great win for Marat Safin and well deserved.

Pathetic post by Blues_Man who deserves nothing but contempt.

Hewitt in 3 sets in about 75 minutes

we all should bow down to your inscisive insight you are a legend
uncanny how you summed up exactly what would transpire during the match .
unfortunate though that you had the names around the wrong way

Missed the plane back to Russia?, Im sure theres another leaving soon, do us all a favour and be on it.

Hewitt's early game went off the boil & Safin lifted his game up another notch. Marat was never going to be a walkover & has some talent too, which Federer can vouch for. I thought both speeches were OK.

Whilst I don't agree with all of Lleyton on caught antics (eg. the staring down of the linesman), it comes as part of the whole package of his never-say-die attitude, which he has also applied to some memorable Davis Cup victories. I'm happy to cheer on Hewitt & men's tennis in Australia would be the poorer without him.

It appears some people have tall-poppy syndrome. Since when is everyone perfect? Perhaps you should spend more time improving oneself, rather than berating others...

Point being? I should suggest that your post was simply a break from you true calling as a professional in the field of self gratification.

Bad luck to Lleyton, but well done to Marat. It was a well deserved win. And I loved Marat's post match address! :)

I had a $20 bet with my dad that Marat would win and was happy to get my money ... but, I also would've been happy to give the money to dad if Lleyton won. :o
