It will always be Footy Park to me. I think it is an absolute sell out by the SANFL. I don't like it at all. AAMI Stadium what a joke!

What will happen to the "This is Football Park" sign that is the last thing our boys see before running out onto the ground?

If had better not turn into the next Kardinia Park/Shell Stadium/Baytec Stadium/Skilled Stadium or whatever the hell they call that oval at Geelong!

I don't have a problem with it at all.

Football Park is a bit of a lame name anyway. I'll probably still call it Footy Park, but as long as the SANFL get a bit of money from it and do up the grounds (i.e. NEW SEATING and BETTER TOILET FACILITIES) I'll be happy.

If my memory serves me correct (and it often doesn't!!) I thought the SANFL almost sold it to Coke about two years ago.

When that fell thru they said they WOULD NOT sell the naming rights.

I feel sold out!

BTW, I have only seen news of this on this site, someone has a media release. It is true isn't it?

I mean AAMI stadium even sounds like a joke!

Yeah, I posted this just after hearing it as a rumour on the "Keith and Pilko breakfast show".1 of their rumours has finally come true.

Whats wrong with the toilets?????????? I don't want individual seats like the Northern Stand either. No leg room either - not that mine are long or anything, but if they were I'd be in major strife! Also I couldn't stand on the seats and sing after the match! (I did once at Colonial and the whole thing flipped up! What a sight to see KBCrowgirl going arse up - mind you, I didn't miss a word of the Crows victory song!

Had to check the date make sure it wasn't April 1, what a stupid idea.

It will still be known as footy park though, even by commentators I reckon. They can call it AMY stadium at all the SANFL games they have their.

P.S does this mean we can pick up a years worth of free car insurance when we go to "AMY Stadium" like with the M&M's Port Match?
