Ablett Envy

Didnt do well? How much did you see of drummond?! Carrazzo completely took him out of the game playing a defensive HF. While yes carrazzos DT scores were rubbish, it was due to a bad role (DT wise) - however i thought he did very well.

Im thinking if carrazzo pulls a few more low ones though, he could be a nice target for when he returns to his whimsy, cheap, uncontested, irrelevent, junky, outside... role.

Pretty sure you meant Gilbee, and it's a bit hard to notice if a player lays a tag well when you are in the 3rd level. But yes, he did a good job on Gilbee now that I see the stats. Simpson was ripping it apart though.

He clearly meant Gilbee.

Carrazzo was fantastic today, maybe not in a DT sense, but from a Carlton point of view he did everything that would have been asked of him, and more.

His role was to shut down a player that has been excellent this season in Gilbee, and he did exactly that.

His role has changed though - it looks like he's going to be used as a tagger in the senior team. That will probably affect his scores somewhat but then again, Kane is a tagger and he's one of the best DTers in the business. Time will tell.

Was checking the stats on my phone during the breaks in the game at the Dome today and was definitely envious.

It's so similar to the Bartel envy of a couple of years ago. All people had to do was lock him in and it was 230 easy points. The thing that makes it worse with Ablett is that he's owned by half the competition, and he's scoring even more prolifically.

i don't own Ablett, or Cox, or Ziebell

As of last Friday my envy ended when I traded Wells out for the great man.:)

I was always going to get him, it just happened a bit earlier.

its seriously sick. you see him on screen and you just know he is gonna get it handballed to him. even though bartel has kept up for 4 of the 5 rounds it always seems like ablett is owning him. he seriously cant be stopped. only way i cant see him getting big score is if he gets about 30 possesions but doesnt get many marks because he had someone with him and doesnt score a goal and only gets a few tackles but he just makes up for it in the next week. he is an absolute gun.
nearly got injured like i predicted he would this game though, getting tackled lots he got driven into the ground twice, once hurting his wrist and the other could often have resulted in a shoulder injury but unfortunately neither of the two occured.
See the Richmond game, got like 35 possesions and only 81 points. Bartel is a better DT'er as he only needs 25 possesions to score massive but somehow the man keeps getting these scores.:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Cox has also shown already why he is a DT lock.

I could have brought him in for Otten this week, but picked up Franklin instead.:o

Serious envy here.

The problem I have now is that I figured he'd get hurt and miss a couple like last year, so I'd hold off until he dropped a bit. Now every round I don't have him is one round closer to him getting hurt. I just KNOW that if I bring him in he'll Brent Harvey me.
Thank God I resisted. The last thing I need is another 0. :thumbsu:

Unfortunately I'm not going to get the benefit of a price drop like most are getting from my premiums

You'll get abused for that. But I agree 100%. Not a serious injury, just a niggling injury that doesn't hurt him, just scares the coaching staff enough to not let him play for a few weeks, then be a late withdrawal. Then come out and say he will be rested till finals. :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::D:D:D

Got my wish i guess. :p
